So Kyrie gets hurt 1 minute into the game.

Why the hell was he even out there to begin with when he’s hurt? The game itself was unnecessary to be even played with all that’s going on out there. Put that dude in bubble wrap.

Here's a nice little breakdown vid on KP and Luka's game against Detroit, if anyone's interested. I think these two have the potential to be something special and are the duo no one's really paying much attention to...

Ohh trust me, enough people are talking about Luka lol.. But I agree, I think those two could end up being pretty special. I hope they make the playoffs this year.

Someone tell BigEast to relax with the Kyrie takes. He took an elbow to the face from Rondo where he’s already dealing with 3 facial fractures and had a protective mask on as well.

He's spin dunk happens so fast. I had to rewind it.

But totally agree. The IQ is off the charts. Like if you watch his full play videos. He's never in a rush or forcing anything. He always finds the open guy when they come on help to him. He's always going to finish with the left. Even if he's driving right. I'm afraid for any jumper he gets.

It's preseason... what did you expect?

You have to know he's going to miss some games.

Never a question of KP’s potential and being a matchup nightmare. It’s about whether it’s sustainable for him.

He starts out the gate fast since he’s been in the league. 3 months in and his %s start to tail off drastically.

I don’t know what kind of front court depth the Mavs have but Luka should be able to take a lot of pressure of KP having to be the man all the time.

As much as I dislike him it was actually good to see him out there again.

Because the China exhibitions are clown shows at this point. They’re political pawn games. No reason to have him out there risking re-injury for the sake of minutes in this tug of war between the league and a foreign govt.

I’m sure Tsai knows that though.

No chance the NBA would have allows Brooklyn to sit him with all that has gone down in recent days.

You and I agreed on this all last year in the draft thread. The dude is so much more than an athlete. He used his quick in-and-out dribble nicely last night too. I can't wait to watch him this year. He's more of a unicorn than Porzingis.

He bulked up even more during his time off. He looks good and smooth. It was a vintage March-April KP line...17 points and .389 FG from the floor.

If he got injured in the first minute from a love tap while wearing a mask and all..do you think he was 100%?

During Media Day..Kyrie said that the GSW front office pressured KD to play and he can’t allow that to happen here. Kyrie’s words not mine.

Kyrie says a lot of things. KD is on record saying the exact opposite about the GSW situation.

The Nets would never had played him if not medically cleared to do so. The NBA would never allow them to sit him if healthy enough to play given the circumstances. And let’s face it, playing in China is also important to the Kyrie brand. All parties involved had something to gain by Kyrie being on the floor.
