Well James broke out the awkward one-legger again and drew what looked like a no-contact 3 free throw foul.. That will sure be fun to watch all season long.

Zion officially measured in at 6’6”....

I still have some concerns about what his potential is. A lot of things people really oooh and ahhh’d over for a “big” are things that you would expect from someone who is 6’6”.. which was part of my criticism of him before he was drafted.

He’s a freak athlete, but examples as recent as someone like Andrew Wiggins, that doesn’t always mean much on this level because everyone is a freak athlete..

It just seems that a large majority of his potential is based on his weight.. which to me doesn’t make him some super star lock that he’s being projected to be.. not that he won’t become that, but idk that he’s coming in and taking the league by storm almost specifically because he’s thicker than everyone else who is 6’6..

I feel the same as most here about the move, but I always found move's that kind of break your defensive brain interesting.

Nash's wrong legged lay up's, Dirk's fadeaway etc.

It's such a hard thing to react to when a player has an awkward cadence. Hardens hop off the dribble is already deadly, now he's chopped up the timing of it

I could see it drawing a lot of fouls

True, my point was more so that watching he video I don't even see the foul.. But he's already off balance, off one leg, makes it that much easier for him to flop his way to the line.

He's not just an athlete, he's also extremely fast, hustles on offense and defense, and has outrageous agility. He's like Westbrook in a 6'6 285 pound frame. Wiggins is a toothpick that doesn't have heart or passion. Something Zion is overflowing with.

So basically Zion needs to become Barkley.

Barkley was actually 6’3/6’4 though right?

If anything Zion coming in shorter is scary. He’s the same height as Draymond Green, and we know he’s played minutes at center. But what if the Pelicans slide him down to the 2 and have him just bully his matchup for a quarter?

Wiggins doesn't have any internal motivation, even though he has all the talent in the world.

In the least bit Zion won't be as complacent.

I'm not saying it's a negative, or that he doesn't have other traits that make him great... I'm saying the previously gawked over "he dribbles so great for a big man, passes so well for a big man" etc are traits that are pretty standard across the board for a modern 6'6" player.

Nets’ new court looks pretty sweet on TV.

The pictures did it no justice at all.

Haven't seen it yet, but yeah the colors look clashy on pictures.. probably due to how it blends with lighting.

Look don't compare some passive player vs probably the most hustle I've seen from a player with that much talent in a very long time. You'd be lucky to get Wiggins to actually use his talent.

I didn't like it when I saw it in 2k. And I sure don't like it live. Especially in comparison to the old one. It looks weird. I don't know what they were going for.

And the Nets are letting this team hang around.
