Re: Training Camp/Preseason Discussion Thread
Well James broke out the awkward one-legger again and drew what looked like a no-contact 3 free throw foul.. That will sure be fun to watch all season long.Comment

Re: Training Camp/Preseason Discussion Thread
Zion officially measured in at 6’6”....
I still have some concerns about what his potential is. A lot of things people really oooh and ahhh’d over for a “big” are things that you would expect from someone who is 6’6”.. which was part of my criticism of him before he was drafted.
He’s a freak athlete, but examples as recent as someone like Andrew Wiggins, that doesn’t always mean much on this level because everyone is a freak athlete..
It just seems that a large majority of his potential is based on his weight.. which to me doesn’t make him some super star lock that he’s being projected to be.. not that he won’t become that, but idk that he’s coming in and taking the league by storm almost specifically because he’s thicker than everyone else who is 6’6..

Re: Training Camp/Preseason Discussion Thread
Nash's wrong legged lay up's, Dirk's fadeaway etc.
It's such a hard thing to react to when a player has an awkward cadence. Hardens hop off the dribble is already deadly, now he's chopped up the timing of it
I could see it drawing a lot of foulsComment

I feel the same as most here about the move, but I always found move's that kind of break your defensive brain interesting.

So basically Zion needs to become Barkley.OSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment

Re: Training Camp/Preseason Discussion Thread
Barkley was actually 6’3/6’4 though right?
If anything Zion coming in shorter is scary. He’s the same height as Draymond Green, and we know he’s played minutes at center. But what if the Pelicans slide him down to the 2 and have him just bully his matchup for a quarter?Comment

Wiggins doesn't have any internal motivation, even though he has all the talent in the world.
In the least bit Zion won't be as complacent.Comment

Re: Training Camp/Preseason Discussion Thread
I'm not saying it's a negative, or that he doesn't have other traits that make him great... I'm saying the previously gawked over "he dribbles so great for a big man, passes so well for a big man" etc are traits that are pretty standard across the board for a modern 6'6" player.Comment

Nets’ new court looks pretty sweet on TV.
The pictures did it no justice at all.#RespectTheCultureComment
