I missed the Hawks game. But since when did Kevin Huerter lose his starting spot. I guess Hunter is that good. Cam was 0-6 from the field.

Huerter still has his starting spot and is a major piece of the team. He is hurt and didn't play a single minute of preseason and was a game time decision. He was on a 15 minute restriction for the game and you could tell he wasn't 100%.

What happened in the second half of the Bucks/Rockets game? Bucks start hitting their outside shots? I see Harden stayed cold and saw Westbrook explode to keep them in it at the end.

They started playing defense. And hitting their shots. The biggest thing is Giannis had 20 in the second half.

Zubac in such a better spot right now with the Clippers.

My favorite player to come out of the trade wars lol

Still hate it.

Kinda keeps your eyes focused on the action so that’s the only positive to me.

I thought it was distracting for the first couple of minutes and now I just ignore it altogether.

Seems to be pretty useless IMO. The shotclock is included in the score overlay - not sure why they would need a second ticker on the screen.

I could see why because you're taking your focus off the court action. And then looking back up to the acutally action. So I see why they did it. I'm not crazy about it. But I could see how it causes drama for people watching because it turns red at the 4-second mark. And your brain goes "shoot!"

Ah good point. Never really considered looking at the score overlay as taking my eyes off the action.

I have a question.

The Bucks have beat Hou about 3 times like this ( and I don't mean because they benched Bledsoe)

They leave the corners open, ignore Capela and funnel Harden to the middle into the defense and ft line.

You think that's a viable strategy against the Rockets in general?

Ignoring Capela worked in the playoffs last year as well. He’s one of the most over rated bigs IMO. I’m not sure why he’s even talked about TBH.

If he’s not catching lobs then what is he doing?

Couple years back before he got that contract he was a big part of why they had good success.

He was playing well off the pick and roll, and blocking shots quite a bit.


That's pretty much why.... after Dwight left it was like a this is what he should've been doing type of thing.

Usually ESPN's articles and their headlines are just "meh" and don't bother me, but this dude really made an article on "trends" after just 1 game? Good lord. Didn't know a trend could be established after just one game, good to know.

Yeah, they could have used a different headline, for sure. However, the actual substance in the article is on point. If the Lakers want to be a title threat, they do need him to be a better shooter outside of the paint.
