Re: Should Amare be a MVP candidate?
Of course, now we all talk about it and Amare has 10 boards halfway through the 2nd quarter against the Grizzlies. Oh well.
And when you say Marion shouldn't get more boards than him, I think you're forgetting one thing. No one is quicker off of the floor than Shawn. He jumps and rejumps faster than anyone I've ever seen. He's 6'7 with freaky ability...that's why he gets more boards than Amare.Comment

Re: Should Amare be a MVP candidate?
Exactly. Saying Shawn shouldnt be getting the boards and Amare should be is laughable. Shawn is freakishly athletic, and quicker than Amare. I'm not surprised he averages more boards a game. Whatever, I dont care about the #'s so much, just as long as he still does progress as an overall player.
We've got other players to take care of the numbers.Comment

Re: Should Amare be a MVP candidate?
Amare going 47% and 47% from the field in his first two years, quickly up to 57% this year says much more for Nash than it does his improvement.Originally posted by rbrunsAmare is just fine. He got 21/9 last year w/o Nash. His improvement is expected b/c he's in his 3rd year and should have gotten better. Some people are blind really.Comment

Re: Should Amare be a MVP candidate?
steve kerr said it best, Amare should have a limo pick up Steve Nash just so he knows that he'll arrive at the arena alright, because amare is trash without nash.Comment
