Fact or fiction: This hit was dirty and should've been flagrant 2 (it was ruled a flagrant one)

Now that the All Star starters have been announced, it looks like I can finally start caring about the NBA season

Who do you expect the All Star reserves to be by conference? Here's who I would pick

          East

Harden (for some reason isnt already a starter)
          Jayson Tatum
          Julius Randle
          Jaylen Brown
          Khris Middleton
          Zach Lavine
          Domantas Sabonis
          Potential injury replacement: Trae Young

          West

Anthony Davis (who will undoubtedly be replaced due to injury, which is why I plan on including 8 guys for West instead)
          Damian Lillard
          Donovan Mitchell
          Zion Williamson
          Paul George
          Shai Gilgeous Alexander
          Devin Booker
De'Aaron Fox (injury replacement for Davis)

Race for the last spot in the East could be crazy tight. LaVine, Trae, Hayward, Sexton, Middleton, Siakam, Brogdon, Harris, Bam..

I’m going to assume LaVine takes it and I can see Vucevic challenging Sabonis for the reserve big man spot.

Personally I would probably vote Harden, Brown, Tatum, Middleton, Randle, Simmons, Vucevic. Which leaves Trae, LaVine, Sabonis as “snubs”.

            West to me would be

Dame, Mitchell, AD, Gobert, PG, Conley, Booker.

Booker is a bit of regency bias, past few games he’s been hitting 30 a night looking like bubble Booker. Phoenix is rolling as of late and if I hadn’t already given the nod to Conley for backup PG I think you could make the case for CP3 here as well.

Conley’s stats aren’t overly eye popping but no doubt he’s one of the most important pieces to his team in the league. No surprise he’s the Jazz’s leader in On-Off splits, he runs the show for the best team in the league.

Could see CP3, Fox, Zion replacing AD. Zion would make the most sense position wise.

              Fiction, that ain't a flagrant 2. I ain't even sure that's a flagrant at all.

Yeah fiction, but an elbow to the face in that situation has to be called a flagrant one even if it doesn't cause that much damage, IMO.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

One thing I need to see from Jayson Tatum is to make a habit out of embracing contact in the paint. Many times he tries to avoid it, resulting in a missed layup or turnover, and no free throws to boot.

It's one thing making fun of guys, but doing so for no reason as an analyst, and to guys who have definitely earned respect (All Star in Mitchell, NBA champ and all star in Siakam, MVP/NBA champion in KD among others), that's just a poor job.

Theres entertainment, and then there's whatever they're doing. Kenny and EJ are still doing great jobs, but Shaq and Chuck gotta leave the clowning around for each other and for Shaqtin, and not in their actual analysis. Although in the Siakam part too, that's just a poor job, not even done for comedic purposes. Imagine if even someone like Doris Burke admitted live on TV she doesn't know the first name of an all star caliber player, on the broadcast in which that guy is playing.

Watching Embiid against Chicago is like watching a middle school PE teacher against his class.

Jamal Murray with 50 on 25 shots and 0 FTs is crazy. Has anyone done that before?

Big night for NBA players. Murray had 50. Embiid has 50. Joker with another trip dub.

First 50 point game for Embiid in his NBA career.

Gallo for Atlanta continues to look beyond awful if everyone is healthy I don’t see how he is even In the rotation that’s how bad his movement is. He has to be amazing on offense just to be neutral. Boston is smart enough to go after him and had Tristan throwing oops to theis.

The only decision is to admit you made a mistake and trade him at the deadline let’s see if our gm has the stones to do it. This offseason which I hated from day 1 (Not counting Dunn) is shaping up to set the franchise back a few years unless you cut bait now. I don’t see how our GM keeps his job after paying him and rondo.
