**** yeah. Let's go Mike. It was a long time coming and years far too late, but he finally got the recognition. Sounds like he'll be a replacement for Booker

Kind of bother by the concept of replacement All-Stars. I get they do it for practicality, but if no one gets hurt/bows out then that replacement never becomes an "All-Star".
I guess when we write out resumes it should state how many times a player was an All-Star and how many times he was a "replacement" All-Star :POSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment

23/8 on 46.6% vs 16/6 on 44.4%. Yeah Conley makes 1 more 3P a game on a much more efficient clip, but I think they could have done better with this pick and do we really need to see 3 Jazz players in the game?Comment

I'm glad he made it, but he wasnt the most deserving player of being picked. De'Aaron Fox was. Conley has been a nice bounceback player on a team that's leading the West, but Fox has had much better output on a team that nobody cares about

Conley is also running the offense for the best team in the league. And while maybe he’s not quite a 23/8 guy he could easily be getting close to those numbers on a bad team like Fox. Not saying for All-Star purposes star power stats shouldn’t be a driving point, but some level of good stats bad team should at least be understood.
Conley has a better ORtg, DRtg, PER, WS, BPM, VORP, substantially better on-off splits. His on court +/- is the best on the Jazz team, which isn’t a surprise if you watch them, and his on-off is second to Gobert.
I’m not one for always picking the player on the “best team” for stuff like this, but I don’t feel like Fox has been so good that he’s forcing our hand in giving him a spot. He’s not Dame or Beal for example, although Fox also wouldn’t have been a bad choice. Conleys impact on Utah has been pretty massive IMO.

Besides, he's the replacement TO the replacement. At that point give it to the guy winning games that hasn't had that recognition his entire career. Fox will get it eventually
If you argued Demar instead of Fox then there's actually a conversation to be had

Re: 2/23 - 3/4 Games Discussion Thread
Good rebuttal and Conley's defensive impact has arguably been his biggest selling point. If we're being honest though, I tend to ignore +/- completely when dealing with individual players and only look at it when it comes to lineups. Other than that, it's hard to disagree with anything you said and he's been the Jazz's 2nd best offensive player this year
