Honestly I think the argument for Demar vs Fox depends on what you value more in a player, slashing or shooting

I also think SGA has been just a tad better than Fox if we were giving it to someone with a more impressive stat line than Conley. Maybe not by much, either would have been solid choices, but just slightly.

Conley has a better ORtg, DRtg, PER, WS, BPM, VORP, substantially better on-off splits. His on court +/- is the best on the Jazz team, which isn’t a surprise if you watch them, and his on-off is second to Gobert.

I’m not one for always picking the player on the “best team” for stuff like this, but I don’t feel like Fox has been so good that he’s forcing our hand in giving him a spot. He’s not Dame or Beal for example, although Fox also wouldn’t have been a bad choice. Conleys impact on Utah has been pretty massive IMO.

OJ, for the All-Star game especially, no one want to hear anything about any metrics.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

To quote the great philosopher Kevin T. Durant:

“Who the **** wants to look at graphs while having a hoop convo?”

But yeah, this is the one time where folks can put down the calculators and the advanced stats for one day, lol

That's fair, I was mostly using them because he had mentioned he hadn't watched much NBA action until the playoffs start recently. Was trying to explain that Conley's level of play couldn't fully be appreciated with ppg and apg.

Nah, I don't think it is fair. Metrics help us describe what happens on the court and to understand who's the best and why. In a game (the All-Star game) that purports to be a collection of the best players metrics can only help to select such players.

Pretty sure it's right. They've been starting Murray, Walker, Johnson, Demar, and Aldridge/Poeltl

Maybe I would be more willing to give him a break if he wasnt such a ******* moron with everything that comes out of his mouth. Yeah he has the right to say it, but he abuses that platform and it's hard to take his message seriously when it lacks any form of authenticity, and I have just as much of a right to make fun of him for it. If you're going to talk as much as he does, at least know what the hell youre talking about

Nobody is going to listen to someone who demands the NBA logo get changed to Kobe and says the Earth is flat. Everything he says is heat of the moment emotional garbage. When it comes to basketball accountability, I have no problem listening to Kyrie. You may not like his opinions and think that he's criticizing the wrong guys, but a lot of what he says is spot on basketball wise. But when it comes to anything else off the court, I tend to automatically ignore anything he says cuz he's incredibly delusional about it
