I feel like Powell is going to be a really big addition for Portland. I thought Trent had played well enough for them to entertain the idea of trading CJ. just because he could get them a big return, but moving him for a guy who can naturally play more SF minutes for them and save them money was probably a safer move.

Portland slowly building lots of depth. If Collins can get back healthy and to himself they'll have even more. Would like to see Melo go retire with NY/Denver, or play a year with one of his buddies Bron or CP3.

Also unlikely Harry Giles ever cracks this rotation but I like his game. I hope he bounces, wouldn't mind the Grizz snagging him to back up JJJ.

I'm a fan. He's skilled. But I don't know how good he can be. He's gotta alot of learning to do. But he might be a nice piece in a few years.

So you would rather the owners have 1 million $ of cash which benefits the team instead of a prospect with potential that signed a 2 way deal as a rookie? I know atlanta was one of the teams that sold the pick where they could have had him.

No one is making an argument in favor of the owners pocketing more money. It's just that a lot of us don't believe that he has the upside that you and many others might. We may be proven wrong over time, but we simply understand and in many cases agree with the decision that most teams made in terms of not taking a flyer on him despite the low cost to do so.
