Drummond is the only player on the team right now with a positive +/- tonight..

I realize that stat can be misleading but he can’t be THE problem if the only time the Lakers have outscored them tonight is while he’s been on the floor.

Plus y’all gotta stop acting like this dude didn’t sit out a whole month during trade talks, go to a new team with a new coach and new system, start that adjustment period just to adjust again when AD came back, and then have to adjust again now that LeBron is back. Sure he wasn’t injured like AD but he’s going through basically the same situation as a player that was, plus not being familiar with the team/coach on top of that.

....the whole Drummond experiment is going to take far longer than 2 games before anybody can make a decision one way or the other.

You're wasting your time, he's been anointed the new chosen scapegoat, and won't get removed from that role unless he carries the team through two whole playoff series, maybe. An opinion that has been arrived at via feelings, will not be dissuaded by rational analysis.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I mean Detroit and Cleveland fans insisted we'll be frustrated with his missed layups and low defensive IQ and empty stats and they certainly weren't wrong

The issue with it is minute by minutes scoring is so erratic. A couple of made 3's one way or the other can skew a players +/- quite a bit. Teammate/opponent lineup strength can skew it as well (for example playing with the starting 5 against the opposing bench or vice versa.)

Hence why most +/- data is over the entire season with some kind of minimum minutes requirement. Even then teams with stronger benches can supress the starting lineup +/- and the same can apply for individual players. For example last season the Dallas bench (and specifically Jalen Brunson) was supressing Doncic's +/-. On the other handy 76ers had basically no backup big anywhere near the quality of Embiid and he played against bench units alot so his +/- was higher than it would be otherwise.

                  Boring technical explanation complete

They probably won't but the Lakers should consider calling it a season and look forward to the next one. Lebron looks nowhere close to ready to play and AD looks like he's about to go down with an injury on every play. He has no confidence in his body and no desire to go hard. KCP ain't doing much, Drummond is allowing 74% at the rim and even Harrell seems to be going through the motions. Let's be real that squad canno't win it all this year.

On the bright side I've been impressed with Kuz. He plays really smart and clean.

I refuse to be concerned about the Lakers until the other team has beaten them 3 times in a playoff series...

...Assuming they even make it at this rate, lmao. What a **** show this season has been.

Film breakdown showing the defensive lapses the Lakers are going through and it's largely just AD being lazy/not giving effort.

Never thought I'd see the day. Winning chips really changes you
