If Luka keeps putting up 40 point games in the playoffs, it's not going to die down completely. If Mavs can close out Clippers and Luka can at least maintain the scoring output against Jazz, then it will always be the talk. Luka would have to struggle and Trae beats Sixers, narrative would change some. Trae is going to score his points, that's almost a given. But, I can see it being an inefficient 30+ points a game. If Sixers go small without Embiid, I can see Matisse on Trae. Matisse is either going to pester him all game or be in foul trouble most games.

Just glad that Trae and Ayton are proving their worth. Bagley won't lol, at least it isn't a poor narrative that they chose them over Luka.

It won't die down because Luka is still a significantly better player who NBA All-Defensive Team players can't solve. Trae Young is more like a line cook compared to Chef Curry.

Agree, I'm just tired of the he's not good. Or one pick was better (at the time). I see them both as great players. Their games are similar. Their bodies are what's different.

At the end of the day though it's Luka 1, Trea 2 and Ayton 3. I wanted Ayton and was extra mad when ATL traded Luka for Trea. Luka is on an MVP HOF trajectory. Trae will be a perennial allstar and have the Hawks at least good and exciting. We'll see what Reddish becomes. Culturally, I like the fit as well. Dallas "won" the trade though because they have the generational player. Atlanta is good, though. It's not like Sacramento whiffing with Bagley.
