That's a good "trade" Dwight for Drummond because Dwight will accept and embrace his role for us.

On face value, its great value for Sixers. There was a huge need at backup Center and you wouldn't have to worry about the skills antics that Howard brings. It's just that he is one of the last guys you would think of. I think old feud with Joel is overblown when Joel called him a bum, that he didn't play defense, had real estate in his head, and posted a video on his IG story. That was in Joel's immature troll years where he tried to get under the skin of opposing bigs and only "showed up" to big matchups.

If he was willing to take the vet min, I would've assumed he would go to a team that would offer a bigger role. When Joel plays, he would get around 12-16 minutes most nights. I would have been okay with bringing back Bradley. But he can be a good piece if he is willing to accept his role. But will still run into the spacing issue if Ben Simmons returns. I can picture Doc running a Ben-Matisse-Drummond lineup and wonder why we can't score.

We still have a major need at backup 4. It was never filled last year. We need a Stretch Big that can play the 4/5 in case you can't play Drummond in a certain matchup

Still surprised Porter didn't wind up with the Nets. Especially after Green left, and Porter has had some minutes at the 4 recently. He's going to be fighting for minutes with Draymond, Wiggins, JTA, Paschall, Kuminga, and Moody.

And now add Nemanja Bjelica to that mix.

Lonzo contract is the stupidest I’ve seen in some time. Malcolm Brogdon got the exact same deal 2 years ago and people still thought he was overpaid at the time. This is how bad teams stay bad

Or contract values and player performances change over time. People said the Bulls were stupid for giving Zach LaVine the contract he’s playing on right now and said we’d regret matching that deal he got from Sacramento. Now here we are. 2019 money isn’t the same as 2021 money. But sure whatever makes you feel good

DeRozan would be great at the 3 for Chicago imo.

Patty Mills is huge for the Nets, I thought that was the best fit available for him.

You’re paying $20M a year to a guy putting up 15/5/6 on 41.4% from the floor. Yeah Brogdons pure volume numbers were similar but his efficiency was worlds better

Lmao @ “2019 money isn’t the same as 2021 money”. It’s been 2 seasons so obviously the value isn’t drastically different like you’re trying to make it seem. Lonzo’s performance has improved because he was so bad before and now he’s become serviceable off the bench. It definitely hasn’t improved to the point that he warrants $20M a year
