2021 Offseason Thread
I don’t believe Kyrie’s team would need to tell the Nets he’d retire because I don’t believe there are trades that make sense for them or that they’re trying for that.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

In a hypothetical world I'm sure Philly would move Ben for him. I don't see it happening either but that would be the first team I think of.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

But you’d also have to ask why Brooklyn would trade him for Ben, especially if he’s not making them better.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2021 Offseason Thread
Honestly how many times have players denied things, said it's media nonsense, and then the guy eventually gets traded/leaves. That happened when Westbrook left Houston, among many other cases. Happens enough that I don't believe anyone.Comment

I can’t even remember what was said back then but every article I find when I type in Russ Houston is Russ wanting out. What contradicted that? Or are you talking about when SAS said the reason was he didn’t want to play with Harden and him denying that but not the trade request?Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Kyrie makes random tweet
Nick Wright: There are some Kyrie trades that makes sense for the Nets. Mind you, he didn’t report anything. But he would retire from the NBA if they were to trade him.
NBA Media: Are the Nets looking into trading Kyrie for Ben?
We literally saw a trade rumor get made up out of thin air and imagination and actually given attention on National TV. They gave up a handful to form their own Big 3 but would break it up in less than a year because….???#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2021 Offseason Thread
Even Reddit didn’t post the Nick Wright tweet until after Kyrie sonned him. Maj might’ve been the only one to take the bait. Bro has been had, took, hoodwinked, bamboozled, led astray, and run amok.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

The last thing the Spurs need is a primadonna that can't score.
Or doesn't have 1st option upside and thinks he's better than he really is.
I don't think DeJounte or Keldon would be a good fit with Matisse and Shake already on their roster, anyway. They need a legitimate #2 that can play off of Embiid and score in the "clutch" (think Kobe w/ Shaq or Khris w/ Giannis).

The team needs shot creation and playmaking with or without Ben. I'm guessing they are hoping Maxey can take that next step. I don't see Ben's value improving no matter how long they go into the season with him. He doesn't seem like the type who is going step it up to improve his value. The quest for a Superstar caliber player is over. Now it is a complementary package. Only way I see them taking a pick heavy package is if they are hoping that Dame or Beal becomes available around the deadline.Comment

I agree. Sixers do need a "legitimate" #2 behind Joel. That's not Tobias Harris. At best, he's a #3 on a winning team or your 2nd option when the backups come in. Only concern with Tobias as a #3 is that he does well when the offense runs through him early and often.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment
