Maybe throw in cash and a pick, and then Raptors could deal him with the cash later on for a team who wants him for a playoff run.

These picks y’all keep referencing, will probably be heavily protected and fall in the late 1st rd so how valuable would they really be? Rockets got a bunch of 1st rd picks from us but we all see those picks won’t mean a damn thing since they’ll be late 1st rd picks.

Unless you’re talking specifically moving them in a future deal but the same thing would still apply.

I agree with Pack about the Picks. With their position in the standings, picks are mainly beneficial if they intent is to flip them in a future deal.

The only reason they are including Maxey in a non-superstar deal, is if they want to be done with Klutch/Rich Paul all together. Any deal that includes Simmons and Maxey, requires TWO PGs in return. Shake, Curry, and Springer(who should be turning 19 soon) are not PGs. Sixers already had issues with having a Secondary Playmaker and Shot Creator. Even if you keep Maxey, still need a Vet PG in return

Depends, the picks I referenced would be going to Toronto just to convince them to swap Dragic for Gallo. I don't expect those to be highly valuable but more so just incentive to match money for the trade to go through. I don't even know that it would even take a first to get it done, likely a couple second rounders.. That said Toronto does have OG (23rd pick), Siakam (27th pick) and VanVleet (undrafted), so even late picks for a team that has seemingly scouted as well as any team in the league could be somewhat valuable regardless.

Late picks could be valuable if you draft properly. Especially the way the Raptors have drafted in the late 1st.

But Gallo, some late 1st and cash (5m) for Dragic would be decent enough, and then if they later deal Gallo with that cash for another 1st, they have 3 picks they could use to possibly move up in the draft.

If Raptors finish around where people project them to finish, it could be a borderline top 10 pick. Add in one or two of those other firsts, and I definitely think they'd be able to move up should they really want to.

Besides the whole "misrepresented" BS, that's what he is supposed to do. He is supposed to be diplomatic and "want him back". Anything negative would tank Ben's value even further. But the whole misrepresented thing is BS. He said what he said. It wasn't the first question that was asked. A beat writer said it was the 5th question and it wasn't after he said he's not answering that. I don't think his quote post game was a big deal. If he would have said it was blown out of proportion. The question was is he a PG on a championship team. After that performance, he was right to question that.

It's not like the question was "Can he be one of the best players on a championship team"

So which one is more likely:

-Hey owner, I got a deal for Ben Simmons I'm going to pull the trigger.
-Owner: **** that, you are fired!

-Hey Gersson, why don't you trade for this Simmons fellow everyone is talking about?
-Mr. Owner Ben Simmons sucks/ he isn't a good fit for us.
                    -Well, yeah? You are fired!

I'd take the CJ, Roco, and 1sts deal Stephen A said during the 1st take today. Out of all the proposed deals, those 2 are the two most win now pieces they could get. I'd throw in Shake and Isaiah Joe just to sweeten the deal for them lol. Joe has potential to develop into a solid 3 & D wing if he can bulk up. He just isn't likely to crack the rotation this year.

I'd start Maxey-CJ-Roco-Tobias-Embiid, then have Matisse-Curry-Green-Furkan-Niang-Drummond on the bench. I'd still want a Vet PG. But, thats a deal that strengthens the depth of the team

So right on time. Shams reporting that the NBA has fined Warriors owner Joe Lacob $50,000 for violating the anti-tampering rule regarding his comments on Ben Simmons

League continuing to prove they're a joke any chance they get.

That deal would make sense if your going the win now route. Realistically as good as your going to get and it makes sense for Portland as well.

“This decision was made for performance reasons,” one Timberwolves source said of parting ways with Gersson Rosas.

In recent days, the organization also discovered Rosas had a consensual intimate relationship with a member of the organization. Story: https://t.co/FaBS4sMcLh "
"Gersson Rosas was fired as Timberwolves president of basketball operations for creating a toxic culture and having an 'inappropriate relationship,' per @MaxWCCO https://t.co/jAUsKWqpd7 "

In the summer of 2020, after Zion Williamson unexpectedly left the NBA bubble at Walt Disney World, David Griffin tried to reinvigorate his players and staff who remained behind.

Zion fun in NOLA. In his defense, my own aunt recommended me the Alchemist and it was so bad I don’t talk to her anymore either 🤷🏾*♂️. Should’ve let us have the first pick.
