    Re: 2021 Offseason Thread

Not just last season, even his final year with the Raptors, you could tell how he was declining, especially in the playoffs.

But its fitting this is how his career ends.

His career started by being drafted by the Lakers, playing in Spain, then being dealt to the Grizzlies.

His career likely ends by being dealt from the Lakers to the Grizzlies and either playing in Spain or just flat out retiring.

Memphis is a feeder system for the Lakers, come on now y’all.

Might as well be their G-League affiliate.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Per Shams, the Rockets and John Wall have agreed on working together to find a new home for the PG. He’ll remain present around the team entering camp but will not play in any games for them.

Basically the same set up that OKC and Al Horford had last year but for some reason, the league still allows it to continue, especially considering how inconsistent they’ve been in enforcing teams resting healthy players for no reason.

Also, NBA coaches will not be required to wear suits next season

The league has to step up and do something about this as its getting embarrassing. Your seeing these star players in the last prime years they have. Just not be allowed to play because they teams are trying to lose games.

Who is going to trade for Wall its going to have to be some bad really bad contracts going back. Who else can do that outside of the Cavs ?

After seeing Aaron Gordon get 4 years 92 mil, I’m going to tell my girl we need to go on a break for a couple years while I find the Amazonian queen that will let me set these next few generations up.

Agree.... I don't get this mess. Didn't a few years ago the league either fined or forced the Pels to play AD when they "sent him home". I can't remember the exact situation. But why doesn't the league step in here.

Props to Gordon for getting paid and for Denver realizing that if you want to be a contender, you have to pay and that includes being a luxury tax payer.

I would say the Thunder since they have cap space, big TPE(not sure if expired), always wants more 1st round picks, and I don't think they hut the salary floor yet. But don't know if they have the salaries to match

This is much worse then sitting a player out for a few weeks till the trade deadline comes up then you buy him out after. This is sending productive veteran players home bc they are to good and the teams will win more games if they play. The teams acquired the players knowing they had bad multi year deals. Wall is coming off a major injury and was productive last year if I am him I want to be playing for my next contract.

I don’t see even the thunder just taking all that much salary without a bad Contract of some sorts coming off. That would have to be like 3 1st round picks so about all of what they got for Hardin.

Rockets fans seem happy KPJ is going to be starting. Doesn’t make sense to play a dude playing for his next contract over a guy who you think is a part of the future of your franchise. He could take a buyout for $10 and go sign somewhere else but why would he? Rock meet hard place.

Some of the reports I read say wall is unlikely to be trade until the deadline so he is just suppose to go home and not play when healthy so the rockets can tank ? The rockets have plenty of playing time for a quality veteran.

It’s like the WWF Invasion. Some dudes had contracts and were comfortable sitting at home while they got paid out. Others said rip that up I’ll start over. I’m expecting John Wall to be more Goldberg than Booker T, as would I.

So Wall eventually comes in, has a short tenure, leaves, and returns over a decade later to try and relive his glory days?

Or do we see something crazy like 76ers finally finding their Simmons suitor?
