I love how after the fact he comes out says that he wants to defend him in Game 6.

Go ahead and keep that same energy you had in the 2nd half when he was busting y’all ***, lol

KD was throwing some Dimes out there

If I'm the Bucks. And Harden is playing. I'd test him. All of his shots were short tonight (expect one).

It is high-school level stuff at that level, but at the NBA level, we can use KD for an example, you don’t take the ball out of KD’s hands to post Blake Griffin every time he might have a mismatch. Any shot on the floor from KD is likely a better shot for them, and likewise any chance Giannis can still find a driving path to the rim, or a open kick-out to Middleton or Tucker corner 3 is a better shot for them. I think there is a more fine line of when you should exploit mismatches and also how quickly you can get to it with the shot clock.

There is an advanced dynamic to it. Milwaukee wouldn’t want to just abandon their game plan to post Brook all game just because Brown and James are on him. Regardless of who it is Brook isn’t going to drop 50 inside to make up for the fact that by going to him you’re deliberately taking the ball away from Giannis, Jrue, Middleton. The Nets would probably rather they do that than keep him out there firing threes even.

Chris Paul was getting lots of switches last round, but he wasn’t getting the ball to Ayton every time a small guy went to him. He was exploiting that same mismatch for himself to get to his spot and shoot those pull-ups. I just think Giannis has to be able to learn when he should signal Brook to use the mismatch, right now I don’t think he really understands how to lead anybody to do anything, he’s more of a when they collapse I will make the right pass type of guy but that’s about it.

I agree.. the logic of saying he’s all defense why isn’t he on KD is like saying Gobert is the DPOY why isn’t he guarding Curry.. obviously that’s a very extreme example, but Giannis’s best defensive strengths on the perimeter are using his length. He can’t give KD that kind of space.

What they can do is give him more help attention. I think 24 mentioned it during the game. Just giving that guy single coverage, especially after he’s already hot like that, you’re just asking to be abused. If their defense, they likely didn’t expect Jeff Green to hit so many threes. That probably had them all second guessing how much to help.

I mean he had lots of things he could have done better but he didn’t not perform. He still had 34/12/4 with 2 blocks and shot 64% from the floor. That’s still big time even with mistakes and even if overshadowed by KD.. realistically it was enough to win if Jeff Green doesn’t go nuts, and maybe even if PJ just didn’t shoot 0 for.

Yup and Harden gave us 46 mins off his injury which was ALOT more than I expected.

Like Chuck said, they're a dumb team and he's a dumb player. Unclutch and terrible decision making. Shooting a fadeaway over Harden was the biggest WTF are you doing moment I've seen in awhile. Then dropping that nice easy pass...

Probably because Mike Dantoni is on the bench lol

Literally a point every minute of the game, 49 in 48 mins. Plus the triple double lol ridiculous man

People really thought that Achilles injury was going to be threatening to his career. This dude has never relied on explosiveness in the first place, he's made it look effortless since he was a teenager just because of how tall he is and how skilled he is. He doesn't need to blow by or meet you at the rim, he's just going to shoot over you and there's nothing you can do about it

This sums it up perfectly [emoji23]

The 3’s he took in Game 3 were almost all worse decisions than that fadeaway but the fadeaway was obviously bad too

Can’t even be mad. I had been telling people that KD and shooters around him are good enough to beat this Bucks team. Bucks didn’t even play bad. They throw too many possessions away on bad shots, but at the end of the day, they shot almost 50/40 from the field and there was just nothing they could do with Durant and Green tonight. They pretty much tried everything and Durant either made the shot, drew a foul, or made the right pass every time.

Just gotta hope we can force a game 7 at this point but whether it’s this round or the next two, these players (mainly Giannis but certainly not limited to him) just don’t value good shots enough and it’ll likely cost us at some point.

Most terrifying sight in basketball is KD holding his follow through after he shoots a 3. It’s like dude’s signature move when he’s just decided to take over the game.

Honestly that was such a weird feeling seeing someone have an all time game like that against my team. Like, every shot hurt and yet by the end A part of me was happy that I was getting to witness this lol.

Because the last time I had a “superstar” on my team in the playoffs, they proceeded to score 0 points smh.
