Bud needs to just give up on Giannis as a ball handler. Even if he does blow by sometimes on those top of the key dribbles, he doesn’t have the skill set to do anything but just to drive right and good defenders have done and will continue to cut him off easily. In transition let him do his thing but they need to just move him over full time to the 5 and force him into developing his game.

Get him working out with Hakeem, he’s done post work with other players like Kobe and LeBron in the past and those changes helped those guys win championships.

I mean he had lots of things he could have done better but he didn’t not perform. He still had 34/12/4 with 2 blocks and shot 64% from the floor. That’s still big time even with mistakes and even if overshadowed by KD.. realistically it was enough to win if Jeff Green doesn’t go nuts, and maybe even if PJ just didn’t shoot 0 for.

But when you watch the games you realise all the missed opportunities all the times he wasted time on the clock pulling back because he's got no offensive solutions. He dropped 34 on raw talent and all you feel is disappointment.


I also feel like the Nets are fine with him dropping that. He took what they gave him but not anything else. And in the closing minutes he was a non factor.

I think Bud has tried to transition Giannis to operating as a big man but Giannis hasn't really bought in so it becomes a balancing thing. To keep the relationship positive, they have to live with Giannis doing his thing sometimes.

Next year, we'll likely see if a new coach is able to get through to him more but I'm not really hopeful about that to be honest.

Ultimately I think Bud's offensive scheme just offers players too much freedom and these guys aren't really smart and composed enough for it.

I love that in a postseason where so many unproven-in-the-playoffs stars are struggling and getting criticism KD comes out with one of the best "**** you" games of all time lol. What a boss move.

That's one of the most soul-crushing losses in a while if you're MIL. The worst since 0-27?

How can anyone get excited about the playoffs when it's basically a guarantee the Nets are going to win the title? Harden was ineffective last night, Kyrie didn't play, and they still won. Who is going to beat this team? The Sixers? The Suns? Not a chance.

Theses playoffs have been pretty exciting and open imo. Nets with the injuries don't look invincible at all and if it wasn't for KD heroics people would be singing a different tune today.

Great start. When Philly is making their threes they're a dangerous team. Atlanta with a slow starting shooting game. Since Game 1, they haven't shot well

But nowadays a 20 point lead isn't safe anymore lol. This is a series that could've have been a sweep if not for Philly starting game 1 sloppy, or at least potentially over tonight.

Got to lock Ben in the gym this offseason. Can't be shooting 34% from FT in the playoffs
