Game 7 scares me in Philly especially if bogdan is out.

Shoulda toughed it out tonight and got the W in my opinion. He could always sit next game regardless, sounded like some discomfort but nothing serious. Look what Embiid is playing through.

I do think Philly can win game 7. This was ATL's chance. The injury status of Bogdan is vital. He hasn't shot well last couple games, but you don't want to have to start Solomon Hill for Game 7.Comment

If he misses it really sucks with them already being down Hunter, Reddish.. maybe play Snell? Lol

Philly is still such a flawed, frustrating team. You can barely play one of your stars down the stretch, the other is 5" taller and 50 lbs heavier than anyone on the opposition and loves settling for fadeaways in crunch time.
Curry and Maxey stepping up saved their season. Nice to see Harris have a bounceback game too."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
ATL hasn't shot well since game 1. So, it's a credit for them making it to game 7. It does feel like a situation where you should've closed it out when you had the chance. You don't want to let the #1 seed go back home to Game 7, where they are a very good home team.
It would obviously be more disappointing if Sixers lose. Atlanta fired a coach in March and is now 1 game away from the ECF against a team that should have swept them or at most 5 games. That is very good for the future
The keys for Atlanta is Bogdan's health, can they have a good shooting night, and can someone else step up. Unless it is serious, I don't see Bogdan sitting. Atlanta has been missing open looks the past 5 games. They aren't taking a lot of bad threes. So, they're still due for a good night. They need someone else to step it up.
For Philly, continue to ride the hot hand of Maxey, I would start Matisse over Furkan. We need stops right away and would rather possibly have Furkan's scoring off the bench, Joel needs to stop hunting for fouls, and will Ben show up. Maxey is a mismatch for Atlanta defense, if he can knock down open shots, he should keep that spark. Sixers are making it too easy for Atlanta to double Joel. They need better spacing and stop bringing defenders near him. If you see the double heading towards Joel, than you need to get into his line of sight to get a shot. Ben has had only 1 good offensive half this series. Which was the second half of game 3. The hack a Ben is going to happen regardless. He needs to asset himselfComment

They "should" win, but with Philly you never know. That's why I don't think they're a "championship team". A lot of it is on Ben. Most of the dominant Ben Simmons games, we win. If he is dominant on the offensive end, it leads to more open looks for teams and better transition defenseComment

"#Sixers Ben Simmons said he wants to 'stay aggressive, stay assertive' in Game 7."
Stay???? It's only been one half of aggressive and assertive. I hope this isn't his definition of aggressive and assertive.Comment

I would like to see Ben getting more minutes at the 5 with the Bench in game 7. Dwight haven't given us much this series. AtL is going small with Gallinari and Okungwu, so they could could small with Simmons at the 5 to counter. I wonder if they do a Hack-a-Capela to counter Hack-a-Ben. Joel has to do a better job on PNR defense.Comment
