Yeah I didn’t agree with that part of his post but I got what he meant.

The clippers neutralized what Rudy is good at and with his limited offensive game, I just don’t understand why the jazz didn’t even attempt to go small.

Seems like just yesterday pundits were talking about Stotts, Stevens, and Snyder like they were the future of the profession.

Strange days in the nba these days. Mvps getting thrown out, defense players that cant guard, and starters that cant make freethrows. Coaches always get praised for all the micro managing and adjustments they make during the season, but when it comes to something glaring their hesitant to change course
Kenny: Ok Vic, I'm ready for some girl on girl action.
Vic: No Kenny, that's girl versus girl.
        Kenny: What's the difference?
Vic: Well, in one, one girl wins. In the other....
        Kenny: Everyone wins?!?!

        Captain Tenneal: Get it on!

This has been the wildest and most exciting NBA playoffs I can remember. It feels more like March Madness than the NBA Playoffs. I'm here for it, though. 2 weeks ago we were talking about the Clippers blowing it up after Dallas jumped on their head. Clips battle back. Utah jumps on their head AND they lose Kawhi, Clips battle back and beat the 1 seed behind Terrance Mann dropping 39. Lol. What a time to be alive. I dont know how anyone can have any confidence in anything this post season. It's so random.

I think it's tough. Your talking about a major philosophy change after a large amount of regular seasons games. That Ain't that easy. You also want your players to trust you. I'm sure a player like Ben is in a funk this morning after being removed from the game. Probably has zero confidence right now. He's human.

              No, I'm not.

The Spurs schemed to take away LBJ's strength just like the Clippers (and other playoff teams in the past) have to attack Rudy on the perimeter (by going small).

Both guys looked bad because of it. Of course, LeBron is more talented and malleable than Rudy which meant he eventually made his weakness a strength.

Rudy can't become quicker or shorter to make up for his lack of lateral quickness. The roster needs more versatility, depth and Snyder must be willing to shift/counter when an opponent goes to this move.

Again, being outschemed doesn't render his regular season award meaningless at all.

Right, then phrase it that way and not in a manner that is denigrating to Gobert's accomplishments. He's in the NBA, playing at the highest level and because he was "exposed" in the playoffs that makes him a "fraud?"

I've read similar takes (in other parts of the internet) about certain Spurs (DeRozan, Aldridge & Gay) being referred to as "career losers" just because they've never gotten to the apex.

Not noting the irony, like cima (with Steve Nash since he's a supposed Suns fan too), that their/our hero David Robinson would've been cast in the exact same light had Tim Duncan not showed up.....

Same reason I want Giannis to ring.....

Anyway, I'll drop it and let it be. On to the next round and to see if they make Ayton look like a "fraud" too.

Whoo last night was wild! So I can understand you taking issue with the word fraud. I'm not trying to take away from his regular season accomplishment, obviously he's a great defender...for the regular season. With that said, I don't think it's outlandish, outrageous, or even unrealistic to expect someone recognized as the league's top X to carry that over into the playoffs. Gobert is a great 90's/00's big, hell even early 10's...but he can be schemed off the floor in today's game. Had Synder just had either the balls or the brains to bench him, we might be seeing a Game 7 in Utah or who knows, this series may have been won by the Jazz last night. After being a combined +19 the first 2 games, Gobert finished the series Games 3-6 a combined -45. I blame Snyder more than anyone, he's the one putting his guy out there in positions he can't handle...ain't Rudy's fault, he is what he is...another regular season performer that can be exposed come playoffs time. That's just fact.

Edit: Another thing to add on why I feel the way I do about Gobert is because a one-way player that can be exposed in the playoffs should not be making $200 million...Jazz deserve an L for that one. I can understand paying that much if the guy has elite offense and okay/below average defense but the other way around...nah.

The bad thing is Gobert actually has the mobility to get out on a lot of those shots last night. Why he didn’t idk if that’s on him or Snyder but he just kept kinda half showing like it was going to scare them or something. Did not work lol

He hurt his knee some where in the 3rd quarter I don't know if that effected him. But not enough to take him off the floor in my opinion. And it's quite simple what the jaalzz were doing. It what I was yelling all night long. Let Mann beat you from outside. They could of rotated to him several times. I think this is one of those too your hat to him and move on.

No you get off your high horse. You compared Rudy Gobert who was picked 27th in first round to high level draft picks who were meant for more KP 4th and Ben Simmons 1st. Do you hear yourself?

I'm not on a high horse nor am I insulting anyone's "basketball brain", I'm sharing my opinions and defending them. I respect everyone's opinion and their right to defend it but the personal insult was uncalled for.
