It is called "rising stars slam dunk contest" for a reason

Consists of: rookies, sophomores, 3rd year players, and the defending champion. At least that is how I interpreted it or heard that.

            Re: dunk contest

They did mention J.R.'s wasn't done before in the contest and Barkley said if his is a 9 Amare's should've been 8 and I agree. My first thought was someone's been playin Live for practice. I was waiting for someone to toss it off the camera.

Andersen had a good idea with the first dunk he just didn't get it down right. They do have the replacement things it's just that none of those counted as attempts. They said the ball had to touch the rim for it to count. Why did they use each other? Baron Davis not around?

I didn't like Amare's first dunk of either round that much but the one's with Nash were great.

Josh was great on 3/4 and ok on the other. After the KMart dunk I said just end it right now he's got it won. Had to love the 'Nique tribute. I thought he was gonna put his jersery on and dunk at the same time when I saw him taking the jersery off.(saw it in a college dunk contest)

Never say you've seen it all.

Gotta disagree.....seeing the dunk contest end on misses (ala last year) is worlds worse than seeing them get unlimited chances. Better would be the NCAA rules, where they get :60 to put down a dunk.

Also, the fact that a behind the back hadn't been done was commented on by kenny smith, and I agree with what you said about the 1st dunks, no way Josh and Amares get the same score as J.R.'s around the back.

Um, rising stars could also mean ... someone rising for a dunk. The rule was removed last season.

First Muhammad needs to make it to the L, then maybe we'll see him in it.

Yo guys I just thought of this....

steve nash jumps off a trampoline while holding the ball tight, amare jumps and dunks the ball with steve nash attached so like steve nash dunks with him

If someone ever did a dunk like that they deserve to win best dunker ever

                                The dynasty will return
