The hornets are never on national tv and they are having one bad year out of all the years they've been a team.

Locally that seems to be the case, but if you talk to C's fans, theyre pretty frustrated (and overconfident, but thats OT) that they have so much young talent and future potential, yet they get no props...

Didn't they just rename it this??? "Rising Stars..." That wasn't always there, was it?

Think it was there last season or two years ago, not sure....

My take on the rising stars name is that the big names aren't there, so these guys can make a name for themselves, in essence, rising stars.... Age is not a factor, IMO

Right, it's just a marketing ploy b/c the DC has sucked the past few years....

Even with all of the no-names that graced this year's dunk contest... it was one of the best contests I've seen in a while... and this rule was the reason...

Having 3 chances to make up for missed dunks...

It might be cheap, but think about it... last year, half the dunks were missed, and the contest just plain sucked because of that... when you are given another chance to succeed, those numbers decrease....

How many missed dunks tonight? ... 0 ... Zero

Amare should have done his final dunk for the first one in the final round. The first of the final round did nothing, and he got a 45 for it. It put him in a position where he couldnt win.

I LOVED the Amare to Nash head shot dunk. Wow, never seen ANYTHING like it. So many things could have gone wrong, Nash could have hit the ball off his head and the ball couldve gone completely the other way. Not only that, Amare twists in midair and dunks it. SICK.

Tony Allen had at least 5 sick dunks in the rookie challenge and was the best player on the rookies, yet didn't get ONE highlight on any national recap

Al played ok, but led the rookies with 17 points and 11 rebounds and guess what

In ESPN's recap they said the leading scorers for the rookies were Allen with 17, HOWARD with 14

There really is a bias against the Celtics. Did you hear Thompson during the rookie game he was like "I would say something nice about Al Jefferson, but then I'd have to say something nice about Danny Ainge." I know they were kidding, but he still didnt say anything nice about Jefferson. And then Kerr, when finally forced to say something about Tony Allen since he was tearing s*** up, goes "I think he should model his game after one of the leagues great defenders, like Trenton Hassell or Bruce Bowen." Way to aim high
