I didn’t forget about Nunn he just isn’t playing right now so his production doesn’t exist for me to compare. They could have both Caruso and Nunn. No matter what other player you name it doesn’t change that there are still guys playing and will be playing who aren’t nearly as valuable to them as Caruso was.

I mean I get it that’s a ton of money, but they could have kept Caruso and still signed every rotation player they currently have. The only negative was luxury tax, and lots of it, but they’re the Lakers so it still baffles me that they didn’t just pay up. He even asked the Lakers for less than Chicago payed him and they still said no.

Lakers are worth 5 billion and for them it’s always climbing. Hell they just signed a 700 million dollar deal. And like I said I get it when you look at it as Caruso for 60 mil or whatever it ended up being with the tax.. that sounds like a lot. But really it’s 60 mil to keep both Caruso and THT, and maintain a bigger chunk of the core that won you a ring. And worded that way it doesn’t sound all that bad.

Seen this a few times so far this year - opponent gets some momentum, the Bulls start rushing everything for no reason, and it snowballs on them.

Chicago is legit but feels like they are just a couple complimentary pieces away. Their bench scoring could be better and they need a bit more versatility defensively. Right now it feels like they don’t quite have the horses to slow teams down when the get hot. Unfortunate that Williams went down.

We’ll see how he looks with more time, but Coby could provide the needed bench scoring. I’m sure AK will be using the time between now and the December date on moving pieces signed in the offseason to evaluate Coby’s fit on the team. I think scoring is the least of our concerns though. Scoring isn’t really an issue with this team, we need to worry more about our size issues. I’ve seen us linked with Marvin Bagley which I would be all for and see how a change of scenery would do him. Wouldn’t mind going after Jerami Grant either, possibly getting in on bringing Thad Young back into the fold. The roster as constructed most certainly won’t be the roster we finish this season with which is not something I could confidently say when GarPax were running things

They gotta get Vuc right. He's been out and he hasn't figured out how to be efficient in that offense yet. Once he gets on track. That can be the next piece.

Bench is little thin. Coby will be a huge spark though. And Ayo is looking really solid. They should be alright.

In the eight games he's played so far this month, he's shooting 34% from the field and 20% from 3 for a TS% of 38%. It'll be tough to play him long-term if he can't at least become a Ricky Rubio level scorer.

You gotta love the flashes he's shown here and there though.

Edit: I do love the changes he's made to his shot mechanics since his Australia days. It looks pretty good for the most part. Seems like the last thing to fix is that he tends to cross his legs in the air, but honestly, his mechanics should be fine at this point. Hopefully he'll just get better with more reps.

It's deeper than just effort. A lot of their issues boil down to stuff that everyone knew was unsustainable from last season; particularly their defense and Randle's mid-range shooting. The Knicks pretty much lived off of teams missing open three pointers all year last year and Randle bailing them out with shot-making ability he had never really showed before and both of those things have regressed back to the mean this season. The only way they were going to be able to match last season's success was if RJ Barrett took a major leap forward or Kemba/Fournier were able to come in and play better than expected. The Knicks have gotten neither of those things.

I original replied to this post. All I was trying to show was his flash in the pan highlight lol. But you edited your post [emoji23]. These guys are young. Give them a chance to figure it out.

I've been watching a lot of KD recently. Even his missed shots like I mentioned before. This week I've been looking at his first 2 years in the league. This guy use to shoot across his face.

I think they just ran into a very young and hungry Orlando team. Knicks blew them out of the water last month. Magic beat them at home for revenge and then repeated it again with even more confidence from the last game.

They have been shooting a lot of 3 pointers. They might be also listening to their hype and the Bing Bong thing got out of hand. I think a little tough love will straighten them out.

Edit: When I'm talking about too many 3 pointers. I'm looking at Randle. Took 10 last night.

NY Media overreacting after 1 month into the season is par for the course, especially when they’re the same ones that were gassing them up barely a week into the season.

My loser basketball team ranks 27th in 3-point shooting all while launching 36 plus attempts per game. [emoji1751]

But Jayson Tatum scored 30 plus (weeeeee) in a lose to Atlanta so everything is awesome, said Celtics media and fans. [emoji1751]

I was going to show example today. I'll show you next week when I have time.
