It must suck to be a queens fan since they quit on you. What a terrable trade that you could never justify. They got absolute garbage back. If you dont want the contract fine, but wait and get more than this garbage. I am not surprised though. The Maloof brothers celebrate first round playoff series wins like they won their 20th straight NBA title. Pathatic

With or without C-Webb, they'll compete. They've won without him before, they can still do so now. Clearly, we have a big hole at the 4 but I'm sure we'll get someone in the future.

Heres my problem. Shaq is gone. They have a good record and who knows what could happen in hte playoffs. Why not give it one more shot and then if it doesnt work you trade him in the offseason where you could get more in return. IMO they got nothing of value back. They quit on the season. THey took back money too and it isnt coming off this year. Just plain stupid to me. Theu quit on you and thats not fair to you or other Kings fans.

Great post. This season is much different then recent years. With Shaq in Miami, the league is wide open. Teams like SA, Sac, etc.......had/have a really good chance to make serious noise this year because they've all held onto their main core. To give up now was a bad move. There is no risk in waiting for the off-season to trade Webber other then injury, but when you look at what they got for him healthy, it doesn't make sense.

Mobley and Bibby have to step up, especially Brad Miller. There goes Bibby's favorite pick-n-roll partner. ****ing hell we got raped! We better land someone in FA next year otherwise Petrie would just look like an idiot for pulling this off.
I love the Trade!!!! AND I AM A KINGS FAN!

Noone seems to see that Webber has hurt the Kings more than he has helped them.

Lets take a look: During the last couple of games Webber had some tripple doubles and what not, that is an amazing individual feat. Sure he passes and stuff... but on some nights he can shoot 2 for 10. Plus when he is in the lineup they are really slow, and they get crushed. Kings dont need another scorer, they all-ready have 4 (Bibby, Peja, Mobley, and Miller)... now they need garbage players... players that will be strong defensevly. Sure some give up size, but we get thoughness.

Webber does not play serious. I remember the game against the Suns, and he does a behind-the-back pass to Miller with 30 something seconds remaining and the game on the line. Plus he stalls the offense most of the time... taking to long to set up. Remember how the Kings played last year while C-Webb was recouperating from his injury?

they were around 40 wins and 15 losses... with Peja having a monster season.

Kings are Bibby's team now, and now they have 20 extra shots per game to give to Mobley, Peja, and Miller.

Also having Williamson, Thomas, and Skinner gives Pietrie more flexibility for trades, because each of their contracts is 6+ million dollars, while Webber's is 20 million a year... which makes it easier for the Kings to make future trades.

great deal for 76ers in the short run (but still no Championship, I give them 4-5 years till Webber cant go on, and Ivo is getting older as well)

better deal for Kings in the long run (I waited for a championship long enough, but waiting a couple of years more wouldnt hurt)

P.S. Webber will be 32 years and has a surgically repaired knee.

Thats what I am screaming they could have made this trade in the summer with better offers depending on what they did in the playoffs. There is no big bad Laker team to play you got a good team and stuff happens in a 7 game series.

If its Peja or Webber its understandable to pick Peja but he could have lasted for a half of a season.
