Isaiah Thomas one of those guys you absolutely want to see get another shot at the NBA, just not on your team.

Nets must have gotten desperate as hell. Or was this just always the plan?

Kyrie is still unvaccinated and is still at higher risk of contracting the virus and passing that on to his team mates.
I get it, from a basketball standpoint, because he’s a great player and he will help them through this run. But the league are doing too much right now to avoid what seems to be the inevitable. Same thing with these 10-day hardship exceptions, it’s just bringing in dudes essentially off the street to potentially infect the healthy players.
I just think we’re on a freight train towards a suspended season currently. It’s happening in other sports all around the world and the country I’m living in is allowing games with 50,000 people in attendance to go ahead with nothing more than a confirmation of being vaccinated. The longer this goes on we’re going to look back at the global response to Omicron very poorly.

I don't even wanna go down this rabbit hole. But it's food for thought. Ever since they've named that last variant after what sounds like a damn Decepticon. I can't do this anymore[emoji1] man if that **** don't sound like it was created in a lab. I don't know anymore.

The vaccine, as with any vaccine, gives you more protection from the symptoms of a virus, not full protection from the infection itself. So being vaccinated gives you a lower chance of contracting Covid and also means you’re far less likely to suffer severe effects or die. So that is the point.
As for ‘Omicron’ it’s the same as any other named variant, it’s part of the Greek alphabet, which was established way before the Latin alphabet. Our letter ‘O’ is derived from ‘Omicron’ so miss me with the most baseless conspiracy I’ve ever seen.

Vaccinated individuals have less chance of dying from COVID-19, of being hospitalized and, due to carrying a smaller viral load, of spreading the virus.
At this point data shows that Omicron is more transmissible than Delta, but scientists are still not sure if it is more (less) lethal/leads to more (less) hospitalizations.
If the NBA cared about COVID before the start of the season then they aren't going to do a U-turn in the middle of the season. I guess they could go ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but that would be irresponsible.

Kyrie, unvaccinated, coming into an environment where there are players in a group in close proximity on a daily basis, is dangerous for him. He is more likely to suffer severe symptoms as a result of being integrated back into the team and playing in arenas where there are 1000s of people.
My opinion on it is biased as I have suffered with Covid as have family members - some close to death as a result of the virus. But as much as it creates a worse ‘spectacle’ for the fans, the NBA shouldn’t be continuing as it is with a rampant virus like this. It’s not safe for fans. The majority of players are vaccinated and will likely not face any issues with contracting Covid, which isn’t the case for fans. I am strongly against vaccine mandates but I think there need to be barricades put in place to protect those who choose not to get the vaccine, both players and fans.
As for my point about him being more likely to pass it along, I got it twisted. I meant to have that the other way around.
