The thing is that Scottie's "complete bitterness" or opinions are based on some truth. Mike is an ******* and was a selfish player in the earlier part of his career, while the POS Phil Jackson has proven to actually have some questionable opinions on race relations.

I don't want to go back-and-forth, cause we really don't know these men and the genesis of Scottie's negative feelings. He was around those guys a lot more than we will ever be, plus he sees beyond the "mythology" built up around Mike (and to a lesser degree Phil).

And if you don't know what I'm referencing then Google good old boy Phil's opinion on the NBA Bubble and "decreasing" viewership.

Fun fact. Since LeBron is the barometer here that Scottie is once again bringing up in all this. Michael in his rookie year averaged more points, assists, rebounds, steals and blocks in his rookie year with this roster than LeBron did with this roster

But one guy was “a horrible, selfish” player and the other wasn’t. He basically played 2 years before Pippen came along because he missed majority of his second season with the broken foot. What exactly was he supposed to be doing with those rosters his first 3 years?

Yeah Pip was notoriously bad on not tipping to the point that he would stop other people with him from tipping too. He also treated staff like **** often, but here we are 30 years later and he’s the beacon of goodness throwing stones at selfish jerks. Give me a break. Despite all of that Chicago has still loved this dude and celebrated him but this dude out here talking about he’s an unsung hero lmao.

Have you heard of or read the Jordan Rules?

From the Wiki of the book:

The book generated controversy for its sometimes unflattering depiction of Michael Jordan and its discussions of infighting within the team. Among other things, it claims that Jordan once punched*Will Perdue*and deliberately threw hard-to-catch passes to*Bill Cartwright*to expose Cartwright's deficiencies. Bulls players largely criticized the book upon its release. Jordan said, "I'm going to laugh at it and keep moving. We as a team know what the truths are." His teammate*Stacey King*remarked, "I think this is going to be one of the best fictional stories since Mother Goose. It's sick."

Defending himself, Smith wrote, "This book is about basketball and what happens within a team and a league that draws the attention of millions. It's an attempt to allow people to look behind those closed curtains of sport. And find what? Human beings with everyday emotions trying to do their highly visible jobs as well as they can and confront the obstacles of their relationships and their very lucrative, very public profession."
Basically, much of what Sam Smith wrote about Michael was true. The doc from a few years ago mentions how Horace Grant was the "mole" feeding info.

Again, Mike is the best ever, but it's okay to say he was a lot like Wilt Chamberlain (who to this day is criticized as being "selfish") early in his playing career. It's okay to point out his faults, even if it's coming from a "bitter" ex-teammate.

I remember anticipating this game's release almost exactly 20 years ago. It lived up to expectations. Loved the homage to legends, the ability to unlock retro jerseys, and signature moves (Jordan had his logo dunk, Darryl Dawkins had his power dunk, etc.).

I still remember the moment I saw that screenshot of young MJ rocking the short shorts and the gold chain rising to hammer. Still one of the coolest things a basketball game's ever done.

I was really, really pissed when my younger brother let his friend borrow that game (which I never got back).

I wish NBA Playgrounds was a lot more like this game in scope and style. I probably would've bought it if it was. *sigh*

Who said it wasn’t tho? We’ve been pointing out his faults for 40 years since he set foot on the court. Especially since the world has been obsessed with MJ vs Kobe vs LeBron for the last 20 something years. Scottie himself has already done this so he’s not breaking any new ground. You can’t “point out” something that’s already out and been discussed and dissected ad nausea for over 2 decades.

I understand your frustration with him continually speaking up, but it seems like he's gonna keep doing it.

People should either ignore him or let him speak (or repeat) his piece and move on.

That he was an a-hole is true yeah.

Still wanting for you to explain what made him selfish.

You saying he was padding stats rather then play for the win?

NBA Playgrounds was like Blue's Clues compared to those street games lol. I'm sure the NBA is just fine with us not getting any of those street games anymore. They want their league to be presented in as soft and PG a way as possible these days. Which is as at odds with actual urban basketball and that overall style. So we aren't allowed to have fun, basically.

Uh yes. Scottie Pippen is saying this. I didn’t say any of you did. This is what Scottie is doing. He was/is an ******* himself but he’s out here on this thing yet again about Michael and Phil and not talking about what Scottie Pippen was doing. How you gonna whistleblow something that’s already been whistleblown. Now if Will Perdue wants to come out with all this, Bill Cartwright, Steve Kerr or some of these guys, cool. But Scottie out here for the umpteenth time basically trying to make the case that he’s the GOAT. Nah ain’t nobody trying to hear this mess again Scottie
