Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
Not so much Bucks fans and people in Wisconsin, but that universal love that he's generally gotten from majority of hoop fans. Feels like this will be the steps to that eventually switch up a lot of folks will make.Comment

Which is funny (I don't disagree with you) because I agree 100% with his sentiment. Either we are doing everything to win the Title or I'm out.OSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment

NBA Off Topic Thread
Folks just contract watching Giannis because he hasn’t signed an extension. NBA Fans love doing this with big name players every year. Look/receive ANY sign of some not too positive news/quotes, then people start to look for ANY sign that could be interpreted as he’s ready to leave. But this is more so an NBA Twitter thing.
Reading the article though, his quote about it was perfectly normal and reasonable. Just keep that pressure on the franchise so they continue to look for ways to improve the roster.Last edited by ProfessaPackMan; 08-25-2023, 10:07 AM.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
Seems like he just wants to be somewhere that the team/players are on the same page as far as going all in for winning. This statement, along with prior statements, all seem to echo that so long as the Bucks fit that description he's wanting to stay. Like Pack said, just keep pressure on them to win. Comment feels like nothing to talk about at this point.Comment

Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
If he ends up leaving and pulls a Durant to sign with the Nuggets that could cause a mass exodus from the fan train.
But these comments won't hurt him, hell better than throwing out the "I wanna retire as a Buck" bs lineComment

Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
I think the 'City Edition' jerseys need to just end, now. Teams are really running out of good ideas....
Indiana's jersey has leaked and it's pretty terrible, IMO. SMDH
https://8points9seconds.com/2023/08/18/indiana-pacers-reveal-cringeworthy-new-city-edition-uniforms/The Indiana Pacers are back on track as a franchise with a bona fide superstar. Their jerseys however, many teams would not be jealous to have.

Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
I agree with what he's saying. But it's flawed in a lot of ways. Baseball calls it the world series. Yeah that's completely arrogant. NBA of all leagues pretty much holds the keys. Team USA has won more than enough. Using the term "world" yeah that arrogant. But I don't really remember any players saying that recently. The best in the world. I don't think there is a fight there.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
Just to add on top. The current FIBA World Cup has a record 55 NBA players on rosters currently. To the point countries are looking for any kind of DNA connection to American players to get them to play at the national level. Like Kyle Anderson playing on team China. Germany tried to get Austin Reeves. Their connection you ask? *Great* Grandmothers were from the other country. That's 3 gen removed lol.
I agree saying we are the world champs is too much. Best league in the world. Yeah I don't think there is no defending or trying to fight that. It's obviously with the international games.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

I doubt with all the travel issues, conflicting schedules and international tournaments that we'll ever see a 'real' world champion in pro basketball.
Pretty silly for a guy competing in an individual sport with less moving pieces and only one 'league'/governing body to complain about another sports' championship title (name).
In boxing there are something like 3 or 4 associations/federations (IBF, WBC, etc.), yet they all have their own "world" champion. [emoji1][emoji1][emoji1][emoji1]

It’s silly that players even took issue with it, especially the ones that haven’t won any championships.#RespectTheCultureComment
