The game isn’t won or lost in the last 2 mins! If you know the game things happen throughout the 1st, 2nd. 3rd and first 10 mins of 4th that has MAJOR impact on outcomes.

The NBA has confirmed that all calls made in the last two minutes of the previous night's Lakers/Heat game were correct, with no missed calls

Favorite not “best”?
I’d go (in no order):
Dr.J
George Gervin
Magic
Bird
Jordan
Pippen
Penny
AI
Vince
Duncan
LeBron
Giannis
Tossed a couple extra in there because some of those guys pre-date me so I’m basing my opinion on more limited access to their game. Also stuck to bigger names instead of role players. Probably a handful of other players I could toss into the mix but didn’t want to keep it going. Realistically my list would look more like 1.) Jordan and Vince with 2.) being everyone else.
I really like Jimmy Butler too, not necessarily the player but he’s my favorite off court personality in the league. I just feel like he’d be super fun to be around. Seems laid back and goofy.
Not necessarily a “fan” of Jokic but I enjoy watching him play from a pure basketball standpoint as much as probably anybody I’ve watched. He might make the game look easier than anybody I’ve ever seen play. It’s more of an appreciation for how good he is that being a fan of him, similar in a way to how I view LeBron and Duncan for me but I’m more of a “fan” for them because it sorta developed over time.
I have a rooting interest from anybody who came from somewhat local to where I’m at. - Reaves, Monk, Gafford, Joe, Joe Johnson, Jaylin Williams, Bobby Portis, Scottie Pippen, Moses Moody, Derek Fisher, and so on…Comment

Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
Because dude was literally getting smacked in the face and not getting free throws in a game that came down to 1 point.. corny to tweet about it or not, it’s a legit gripe and his point is correct about a game that close. He was asked about the calls immediately after the game from the press, and Lakers submitted calls to league office. Most of them had nothing to do with those final two minutes. I don’t think he’s being corny to basically point out he doesn’t give a **** about a final 2 minute report if he’s getting smacked in the face in the 3rd quarter.
He’s above his career average on attempts around the rim and shooting a career low free throw attempts. Drawing fouls on just 6% of his drives this year, bottom 8 in the league for players with 70+ drives.
It’s a lose-lose for him. If he plays through contact he doesn’t get whistles, if he tries to sell the contact people act like he’s the biggest flopper the league has ever seen. Dudes like Dame and Trae Young take half their shots from like 30ft and shoot 9+ free throws a game… LeBron probably loses a few calls because they also let him be physical without calling the offensive foul too, but that doesn’t stop guys like Giannis, Jimmy, Luka, from getting 8-10 FT attempts per game. And I’m sure if you were to ask him he’d gladly say he’d take an extra offensive foul a game on those plays when justified if he also got the extra 6 free-throws they aren’t giving him.. he’s among the league leaders in offensive fouls as is.Comment

Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
I wish the NBA would stop trying to be like or do what other leagues do! Focus on your athletes and how you have more talent spread throughout the league than ever before.

Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
I'm sure horribly. Nobody watches the second round as it is, moving it to a second day isn't going to help that. But I'm certain all they care about is a second day of ad revenue generated out of this. Day 2 of the NBA Draft is the epitome of "this could have been a email."Comment
