Gotta salute Doc and his agent, because when it comes to getting a bag, he isn't a rookie at this lol

And being listed as a top 15 coach all time, over 1000 wins, and plenty of 50 win seasons lol.

Wizards ownership issued a mandate: Acquire more draft picks before the trade deadline. Tyus Jones and Deni Avdija are likely being shopped.

              Why move Deni, though?

Kuzma and Pool must have less trade value than many of us realized.

I do want to see a lot more minutes for Bilal. Him, Kispert (who can play some 2), and Deni are redundant on the roster.

Supposedly the team doesn't want to let Kuzma go. Probably for the same reason they moved on from WUJ at coach. They want to rebuild and that implies a degree of tanking but they want to do so while still being somewhat competitive. Guess they want to tank respectfully. Makes sense if Ted wants that shiny new complex in VA.

I think Deni is the type of player who would be more valuable to a contender than to a rebuilding team. He's that versatile utility guy. Probably won't help a lottery team move out of the cellar, but could help a playoff team move to the next round.

This is random and I’m late. But I keep seeing all this stuff about Doc online. I’m not saying dude is a tier 1 coach or anything like that, or that landing him should make whatever team he goes to a title favorite..

But I don’t understand why he catches so much **** online. He’s top 10 all time in wins, top 5 all time in playoff wins, some of his playoff runs were absolutely hurt by big injuries to KG, Blake and CP3, Joel, whatever happened with Ben.. I’m not saying dude has went out and won every single series he should have won, but some instances also hasn’t been under his control, he’s lost to some really good teams, and he’s achieved more than just about any available coach that anybody could hire.

After having the Doc experience for 3 years, he's not a bad coach. The outside just focuses on the negative than the positives. With Doc, we can pencil in a 50 win season. Prior to this season, Embiid had his best 3 seasons and got better each season. He's going to find what works and spam it and throw away what doesn't. He will stick up for his guys and help promote them.

But it's a "what have you done for me lately" league and it's hard to overlook the blemishes. He's stubborn and set in his ways. He doesn't adapt and adjust when it really matters. He doesn't hold himself accountable. He doesn't play to the non-star strengths. He's more of a "this is my system and here's the hierarchy. Play this role well or you're not playing". Yeah Embiid stunk it up and Simmons disappeared in the ATL series, but Doc also played a part in it as well. Forcing the Dwight Howard-Simmons lineups when it wasn't working, sticking with the all Bench lineups with ATL came back 18+ points in two straight games. Or relying in Old washed up Centers in Howard, Jordan, Millsap, Harrell, and Dedmon. Or not adjusting in the series against Boston when they started Williams-Horford.

Not surprising. I think it was a poorly managed situation. Where the team didn't try to protect the player from himself until the very last minute. There was no reason why he wasn't listed as at least Questionable for the Denver when he clearly had an injury in the previous game.

Grizzlies trading Steven Adams to Rockets for Victor Oladipo and three second-round picks - Woj

I don't even know if it's worth it. Stevens when you have Sengun a potential All Star. Feels weird.
