Their 2 primary ones are already nice looking, the city one a few years ago was their best 3rd jersey.

Surprised they haven't ever changed their name from the Wizards.

We've heard about other home score/stat keepers doing similar stuff elsewhere.

Remember, John Stockton averaged way more assists and steals at home than on the road. Pretty sure if the nerdy types went back they'd find it happening everywhere.

Washington is so bad that if you didn't really follow the league you'd assume that entire graphic is generic models instead of actual players lol. I'm not sure I've seen a worse jersey reveal than that lol.

Assuming that also means all of Kuzma, Avdija, Poole, Tyus, Bilal, Kispert aren't locks to not get moved this offseason. Perhaps foreign dudes were just back home and not available, but still lol.

Rename the team. Wizards is a horrible name.

That'd be fine too. Just feels like a waste of a team name when basically all of their branding is angled towards the same type of stuff as the Capitals, Nationals, etc.

I think Wizards is an okay name but they should embrace it more if they're keeping it.

Thats where I stand. The team name should match the branding.
Keep the Wizards name and use that as the identity or change the name to better match the identity.

This named one thing, identity/branding something unrelated is just weird

                            Great memories here.

NBA Street was my first proper "next-gen" basketball experience. My friend bought a PS2 prior to our senior year in high school and we used to have pre-game parties on football Fridays where friends would come over and play GTA III and NBA Street.

That first NBA Street represented such a big transition at the time. From old gen to new gen from me, but also into the modern Pistons era - I think that game was the first time I saw anyone wearing the modern Pistons jerseys that they still wear today (this was the season of Ben Wallace's breakout).

It was also super novel to not only play at some real life streetball courts (like Rucker, The Cage) but also be able to execute dribble moves we'd only seen on And1 mixtapes. And honestly, even the dunk variation was amazing - I don't think I'd ever been able to throw a lob off the backboard in a video game environment until NBA Street ("Serving it up... dinner's served").

On a somber note, we didn't get into NBA Street until Fall of 2001, so the loading screen took on a new, eerie meaning pretty early on.

Lastly, if you would have asked me, I would have guessed NBA Street came out in September or October of 2001. Coming out in June means Michael Jordan wasn't on the Wizards roster, which I forgot. He was just out there chilling as the final boss in his UNC cutoff.

The way I always looked at it is that NBA Street was a legit spiritual successor to NBA Jam. The first NBA Jam changed how I thought about video game basketball. And while NBA Jam TE was also amazing to me, subsequent sequels just felt like retreading the same thing over and over again. NBA Street, though, gave me those original Jam vibes in terms of redefining what I thought video game basketball could be.

As a final note, after we'd played Street into the ground by winter, we sought a new basketball experience. NBA Live '02 was wack, so my friend and I took the plunge and went in on a copy of NBA 2K2 from Electronics Boutique. Been on the 2K train ever since.

One of the cool things about blockbuster.

I'd just rent these arcade type games for a week or two and play it like crazy.

Warriors shutting Wiggins down from participating on Team Canada due to a "medical issue" as they're trying to trade him too.

Edit-Team Canada saying its not injury related. Warriors just flat out didn't want him going and potentially hurting his trade value.

Kerr said it was a mutual decision.

Other reports say otherwise and Wiggins really wanted to go. This is likely his last shot at the Olympics, and it would've been extra special given his mom was in the Olympics.
