Also, don't know if they do this already, but I would make it so you can't score a 50 if you don't land the dunk in your first try.

They don't, and yes there should. Just take it outside of the judge's control. Apply automatic demerits for certain somethings after aggregating the judge scores.

Shaquille O'Neal is staying with TNT Sports on a new contract worth more than $15 million per year, according to a report.

So this means Inside the NBA will continue with the partnership with ESPN?

Damn. Wemby is shut down for the remainder of the season with a blood clot in his shoulder:

Spurs star Victor Wembanyama is expected to miss the remainder of the season with deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder.

This absolutely sucks if they aren't able to get it under control.

Random question but are you searched or do you go through some kind of detectors when going into an arena to attend a game?

I find that crazy how close to the players the spectators are.

They have metal detectors for all venues.

The accuracy of them is questionable. There's definitely times I forgot to take out something like keys in my pocket and it didn't go off.

From what I've seen, if someone truly wanted to do something at a game, it wouldn't be incredibly hard to do it or even to sneak things in.

Some (or most?) venues hire a 3rd party security team to run events, and it's exactly what you expect. Some of them are there just to be in the building/hoping to watch/record the event or meet players or singers, some take their job way too seriously acting like they're the head of the police department, and others honestly couldn't care one bit.

                  How's this for a throwback

I liked Like Mike a lot back then. They used to play it in schools a lot too (I guess it was an easy to acquire dvd/VHS).

What crazy timing for the movie though. Jordan hadn't officially announced his return to the NBA when this movie first started filming (and plans for the movie definitely would've happened in the months or year after he retired).

Would they have been able to get Jordan in the movie if he didn't return to the NBA, or would they have been able to get him if they knew when they started filming that he was already back in the NBA?

Or if the movie happened just a few years later, would they have tried getting LeBron in it? While the movie didn't have Shaq/Kobe, they did have most of the top names in basketball at the time like Vince, McGrady, Iverson, Robinson, Kidd, Webber and more, so LeBron might have had a shot to be in it too.

Buss said she's glad the Doncic talks didn't get leaked (I wonder why....almost like they knew someone would match the offer).

But Mavs apparently offered Doncic for Edwardsa and got rejected.

Sixers officially shut down Embiid for the season. Right choice. They used the old PR strategy of waiting for a late Friday news dump lol. I doubt he'll return to form.

They should embrace a tank. They had very slim chance of making it out of the Play-in with a gimpy Embiid. But with no Embiid, no shot.

I don't blame Mavs fans for being ticked off, but it's part of the bigger plan:

Phase 1: Get rid to star player
                        Phase 2: Raise ticket price
                        Phase 3: Demand new Arena
Phase 4: Bemoan lack of fan support
                        Phase 5: Las Vegas Mavericks

                          Random fact I stumbled upon

This season surpassed the halfway point in Pelicans history. As in, there have now been more games of the franchise being the Pelicans than the Hornets.

Similar with the new Charlotte Hornets vs Bobcats.

Brooklyn Nets vs New Orleans Hornets, Charlotte Bobcats vs New Orleans Pelicans and Brooklyn Nets vs Charlotte Bobcats are probably some of the "rarer" matchups in modern NBA.

Another death, former NBA big man Oliver Miller passes away at the age of 54.

Didn't have a notable career, although he played in the NBA for 9 seasons.

But he'll probably be best remembered for the Suns 93 playoff run where he averaged 21 mins a game off the bench during those playoffs.

I'll best remember him for being one of the original Raptors. Raptors selected him in the expansion draft with their final pick, he started most of that year for them, then they released him, he played elsewhere for half a season before the Raptors signed him back for 2 more seasons.
