I ain’t feeling bad for him if he gets “labeled”. Others have been called worse/labeled worse for not doing nowhere near this type of **** lol

I will say I have noticed a lack of “energy” people have for this compared to other “negative” over the years. TV/Media Folks talking that “we’ll wait for all the facts to come out before commenting”, as if that stopped them from speaking out on **** before.

It’s whatever though. Idc about him getting compared to Malone. You in the pros, stop trying to **** youngins in HS, regardless if it’s legal or not. Hell, just pay for it instead. Trusting a HSer to keep your secret is like falling for them African Prince Scams.

My point was more so a teenager sleeping with a teenager isn't typically something most consider "predatory behavior" like it's being labeled. He was 19 at the time, this girl was supposedly at a club she'd have to be 18 to be at.. But even at 16-17 or however old she actually is (we don't know) it's two teenagers.. Again all that is based on the info we have, could easily change with details I'm unaware of.

IDK what NBA related incidents you're referring to but I've seen this about every time I've opened my phone.. I'd compare that to the Primo and Bridges situations.. Obviously Ja got way more steam, but that's Ja and he's a superstar. He also posted the video himself as evidence, and it was the 3rd/4th time he's done something stupid.. And half the "energy" around that was jokes/memes anyways..

As far as waiting on the facts, in THIS instance it's hard not to. There is no girl coming out claiming he hit her, no girl claiming he exposed himself to her, sexually assaulted her, there is no video of him breaking any law, the only accusations we have are random twitter accounts. We still don't even know the following:

- If he even hit to begin with
- If the girls in the leaks are even the same girls
- If she/they are even underaged
- If she lied about her age

I agree with your point overall, but my thing was did he even know this was a HS girl? If he actually met her at a club she shouldn't have even been able to get in under 18. That's basically why I'm saying this is complicated, if we are killing a dude who's 19 for sleeping with someone he thought was 18... Kinda why I said this is hard without knowing anything..

As far as the Karl Malone stuff he knocked up a 13 year old while he was in college (this isn't legal in any state) and then had no part in parenting, child support anything.. IDK exactly how old this girl is but 16+ is legal in 31 states, 17 legal in another 8, various Romeo and Juliet laws in other states too.. This would be legal in like 80%+ of the country.. Not saying I agree with it, or disagree with you, but acting like it's the same as an adult knocking up a middle-schooler and just saying "good luck" isn't really fair either.

I kind of compare it to Ja Morant punching that kid. Not much came of him punching that 17 year old boy. I would imagine had he been 13 that could have went differently for him. We don't really expect someone to stop and ask a grown sized male "hey are you 18?" before hitting him if he is squared up swinging at you.. Just like Giddey probably isn't asking girls at a club "did you get in with your fake ID or are you actually 18?"..

And even if he did know she was 16-17, he's 19 at the time it's legal in his country, legal in the state he currently lives in, he would just have to randomly know every age law in every state of what is somewhat of a foreign country to him to even know that wasn't ok? Would any of us at 19 traveling across the world know where someone 2-3 years younger is illegal?

IDK man, it's just a lot going on with no real details IMO. If it all ends up being worse than it seems then bury the dude 100%. I'm definitely not here to defend him targeting minors and asking for them to stay quiet about it.. But man if you woulda told me at 19 that taking a picture with a 16 year old will get me destroyed online and have people acting like my life should be ruined.... A little much at this stage.

I mean I guess in a technical sense, but that's not really the point of it all.

The speculation I posted only exists because of the other speculation.. Like if there wasn't people on the interwebz treating this like his life should already be ruined because he's a child predator when all we KNOW is he's in a picture standing behind a girl, then my "speculation" in the form of rebuttal wouldn't have a need to exist.

Otherwise my only thoughts on this situation initially was what King posted a few pages back.

Only other "details" at this point (that I'm aware of) are a girl/family aren't working with police, they met at a club, this supposedly happened last off-season when he was when he was 19 and she lied about her age, and nobody is accusing him of anything playing a victim role, and if it was with the girl in the snapchat she was obviously bragging about it. That was the reasoning behind my response to Pack about waiting on more facts and this not getting more energy.. Largely because there is no victim accusing him of anything to give energy too, we have no facts currently because all this stemmed from tweets, and most people generally aren't caught up in a 19 year old sleeping with an 18 year old, which would have seemingly been his perspective.

Like I said before, I'm fine with burying the dude if this ends up being a situation where we have a grown *** dude knowingly preying on minors with the hopes they will keep quiet. That just feels like a too-early assumption based on what little we know, or even the notion that he would happily pose for that picture to begin with knowing it was on her snapchat and would get screen-shotted to eventually reach thousands/millions if that were the case.

I also realize none of that may matter if this all goes strictly based on the laws in Cali and there is proof floating around somewhere. Which is why I said this could all really suck for him if he thought she was 18, or even if he knew but just so happened to be in one of the 5 states it isn't legal.. Law is law, would just be a **** way to have your life ruined is what I meant.

One of the things I don't understand about this situation is people making this a race thing. Compare Kyrie's situation to this. I'm sorry, but these are 2 different things.

One hand, nobody is carding every woman they meet. On the other hand, you “should” know what an underage girl looks like. Them 18 and up spots always gonna have them underage girls in there and we all know that lol

This was my thing too.. I saw people online saying that even if you did ask to see the ID it’s still your fault if it’s fake.. and I’m like what the **** do those people expect? He’s not a 40 year old man, he’s 19.. everyone he meets that looks his age is going to look likely 16-23 lol.. start asking for birth certificates and run backgrounds checks? Idk the answer to that one.

I know for sure when I was in college you couldn’t always tell a difference in the college girls and girls who somehow made it in as visitors. And it’s even worse now.

They all look underaged to me now [emoji23] but I’m not 19 anymore lol.

I think that's the thing. As a grown man now, I know exactly what a young girl looks and speaks like. But back then no ****ing way. That's asking for too much. A teenager to notice another underage teenager.

The thing for me is they waited until he was 21 to release those videos and pictures. So without the story the rage is even faster and sometimes harder.

I still have some questions. But this entire thing seems like BS.

And let’s be real here, if you were 18 and couldn’t tell the difference between a 13-17 y/o, that says more about you and you shouldn’t share anymore beyond that lol. Because as a HSer, you can definitely see the difference lol. Just like when you were in MS, you could tell the difference between a 12th grader and a 8th grader.
