    (1)Miami Heat vs. (4)Philadelphia 76ers

    (2)Boston Celtics vs. (3)Milwaukee Bucks.

Re: Eastern Conference 2nd Round - Discussion Thread

Boston has come so far. I'm watching a Sixers-Celtics game from earlier in the season.

    Starting lineups were

    Boston
    Dennis Schroder
    Marcus Smart
    Tatum
    Brown
    EKanter

    Sixers
    Thybille
    Curry
    Danny Green
    Harris
    Embiid (had 41)

(Maxey was on the bench and wasn't in the rotation lol)

With that said. No way Embiid gets going vs the Heat. They never gave him any air. Made everything tough.

For the other series. Boston is so different from the season before. With no Kris Middleton for the Bucks. I think it's Boston that advances.

Most likely Heat in 6-7. Bam is one of bigs who can slow down Joel. Better defensive team than Raptors.

But, I do think Sixers have legit chance. You have to watch the health of Lowry and Butler. They have a few guys they can target on defense in Herro and Robinson. The keys for the Sixers will be the same. Limit Turnovers, Defensive Rebounding, excute on Offense. I feel Sixers can definitely outscore Miami if execute those keys and limit Butler

Sources: 76ers All-NBA star Joel Embiid suffered a right orbital fracture and mild concussion in series-clinching Game 6 win last night in Toronto. He will be listed as out and there is no timetable for his return.

        The injuries have been unbelievable.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

That was a cheap shot after Joel was trolling the fans. But, man that sucks when they had a legit chance this round.

I was thinking around that time that they should have emptied the bench sooner because that game was well in hand with just 4 points up 29

It's all the extra games SMH.

Should of put them away earlier or sat him when they were up by 20.

But more importantly the first round should be a5 game series.

Probably will wear a mask. Getting through concussion protocol will be difficult. Screenshot_20220429-211748.jpg

I get that Raptors didn't wave the white flag until essentially after that incident, they already didn't have the same energy after the 3rd. Doc kept the starters on because Raptors kept theirs on.

They were laughing it off like it was a joke, but it seemed like he knew .

"Joel Embiid was evaluated by specialists tonight to determine the severity of the right orbital fracture. While his previous left orbital fracture in 2018 required surgery, sources told ESPN there has not been an indication that this injury will require a similar procedure.

Embiid will be evaluated again next week, but at a minimum he must be out 5 days with the concussion, sources said.

There is no timetable for this injury yet but sources said “the door isn’t closed.”

So, he's at least missing the first 3 games likely.

If he’s out the first 3 games that could be a wrap by the time he’s back

Best hope is that Sixers steal a game and/or Lowry/Butler misses a game. I can see him missing up to 4-5 games. The schedule is every other day besides the 2 days off between G6 and G7. Game 4 is the earliest I see.

I can really see Doc starting DeAndre Jordan smh.

DJ is ok. But I’m not watching this series without Embiid. Harden can’t carry this team. Even for one game.

If Embiid is out more than two games, this series is over. I just don’t see Harden carrying them to a series win.

Pray they split the first two and hope Embiid is back for Game 3.
