Yup that best case scenario. The Heat are too good. I've already watched how they played Harden this year a few times and years before. Trap him and let anyone else beat you. Literally anyone else. Maxey is going to have the best match ups. He's truly the key. If he's scoring and hustling around on defense.

    They definitely have a chance.

Embiid will be evaluated again next week, but at a minimum he must be out 5 days with the concussion, sources said.

There is no timetable for this injury yet but sources said “the door isn’t closed.”

So, he's at least missing the first 3 games likely.
Did the injury protocol clock start today? Is this day one? If so then Tuesday is day 5 and he could return for Game 2 on Wednesday.

Would suck for Embiid to miss any action but aren’t both Jimmy and Lowry questionable for now too?

Think I saw that there was a chance Lowry's hamstring injury could keep him out through at least game 2. I know Butler's was a hip, but that's all I know.

Best case is that you get the G6 level of Harden. But there hasn't been a game Harden played without Embiid so far since trade, I believe. So, I have no idea what to affect. But, would need similar good series from Tobias and need Maxey to take on a lot of pressure in produce.

They are going to use the same defense they did on Young. As long as no else is going crazy. That's where like you said Maxey and Harris need to step up. I'm talking 25 points or more.

I watched what the Heat did over and over to Harden. He just needs a flashback game or 2.

So funny, everyone agreeing that Harden not doing what needs to be done is a forgone conclusion (I agree). Yet, coming up big without Embiid is the perfect opportunity for him to start exorcising his playoffs demons.

It's Harden's time. I know he can do this.

Doc did say it will be a Harden dominant offense without Embiid. If it is the passive PG Harden, then it will get ugly. He needs to be aggressive. Not non-stop stepbacks and flailing his arms looking for fouls. The only thing is that this is the first time he'll play without Joel. So, I can see them Blitzing and trapping him more. But, he's good against that. I would like to see them go more uptempo when Harden is off the floor.

Doc did say it will be a Center by Committee approach. As much I don't want to see Jordan starting, don't think they can start Reed because of foul trouble. I do want to see them give Bassey some run. I think he has good upside.

Is this me having a short memory, or has Harden ever had a takeover type performance in the playoffs like he’ll need to have for Philly to win Monday?

They probably can get away with it this series. Bam doesn't stretch the floor. I see them using him for only like 20-25 minutes and have Reed as the primary backup and using Millsap/Bassey as needed

Embiid won't travel to Miami, but chance at either Game 3 or Game 4. Lowry is out for game 1 and a list of guys are questionable. Sixers best chance is to steal a game and hope Embiid can be back by Game 3

Hot take. But this series defines Hardens legacy. Or he might have to skip town like Ben.

That's exactly what I see happening. Miami is gonna **** it up.
