Embiid is listed as out Game 3. Makes a must win game even tougher.

If Embiid’s series is over then Brick Ross is going to have to pull off something incredible just to get a game

Re: Eastern Conference 2nd Round - Discussion Thread

Matisse is someone I have been back and forth with last few years. Start of 20-21 season, I was on board with trading him because he was low on rotation and very hesitant on shooting. Then he had an-all defensive year and those are the type of players you want in the playoffs. So, this season I didn't want to trade him. But, I have now settled on trading him. He's a liability on offense and if he isn't having a good defensive game, you can't have him on the court. He's more of a defensive playmaker than a lock down defender. Where, I don't think you want Matisse being your #1 defender. He's heading into year 4 next season. I can't say he has improved much since he came into the league. He is like an aggressive Free Safety on the basketball court. If you're going to trade him, this offseason would be the best time.

I only wanted to keep Danny Green this season if he was going to be used as a trade chip. Same with Korkmaz. Sixers seriously need to upgrade the wing.

I'm indifferent with Doc Rivers. I'm not fully on the fire him boat, but I wouldn't be upset if he was fired. My main issue with Doc is that he is too set in his ways and stubborn. He doesn't hold himself accountable. It's never "I have to do better" it's "We". I wish he would have experimented more with lineups in the regular season. Treating Jordan like he was the solution was a terrible decision.

You know what's upsetting for Joel Embiid in this situation. He's been fairly healthy all year long. Even after hurting his hand/wrist. He still played pretty high level basketball.

Especially since in Game 6, he seemed to figure out how to play through the hand injury. There's still chance that he gets cleared for Game 3. He has to be listed as out until he clears concussion protocols.

But it would suck for the only thing Joel has to show for this season is All-NBA 2nd Team and All-Star. I don't think he makes any All-Defensive team this year, even though he was a good anchor this year . All for something that could have been prevented.

It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. There aren't many winning situations out there for Harden if he does leave Philly. All of the contenders and pretenders are pretty much tapped out cap wise to sign as a free agent.

Only thing would be a sign and trade as there are only a handful of teams with cap space and those teams are lottery teams. But you're signing up for this version of Harden. Out of the contenders and realistic pretenders, who are the realistic options that would make that deal. Not a whole lot of contenders have a need at PG. What, the Clippers?

Embiid has cleared concussion protocol and there is optimism he will return tonight. He’s been fitted for a mask and will need to feel comfortable in it before green light.

Block or black out the game. Nothing good will come from this game. Just enjoy your night.

Hope you and your wife have a good night. I was surprised to see Embiid playing. Hoping they can get the W, and he stays healthy.

                              Maxey offensive productivity needed!

And I'll take the defense from him too

Miami... if you are planning on giving away this series I vehemently urge you to refrain and reconsider.
