Lauri was big for us last year

It seems crazy now that until last year he was never used at the 3, considering his skill set. Great shooter, decent passer, good defender against smaller players and good athleticism. He never felt strong enough to truly be a 4/5 but he’s getting the volume and chance to showcase his strengths in Utah and he looks great for it

Good win for the Sixers without Joel. Really like the small ball lineup. Good 3 game win streak on the road. Team is starting to settle down and play more cohesive and with more energy. Good game by Harden, Maxey, and the bench. But really like what Melton has brought so far this season. To be as impactful as a 6th man and as a spot starter is essential when Embiid is bound to miss a chunk of games a season.

Wizards are a team I'm not sure about. Yeah Porzingis had a good game, but that style isn't sustainable. Beal isn't a #1 on a winning team. Feels like they should embrace the tank and trade Beal.

I'm not sure about the mini-series format. I like the benefit of less travel. But it's weird with the idea of either playing a team a 50%-66% very early or not playing them either at home or away for the rest of season. In the first 20 games, Sixers will play 4 mini series. By Jan 2, they will have played ATL 3 times(in first 21 games), NOP twice, Wash/TOR 3 times.

Everyone knows tearing it down is likely in Washington's best interest long-term outside of maybe the front office themselves. They've been mediocre for a while now, but at least when John Wall was around, they were a fun mediocre team. Now they're simply boring to watch more often than not. A friend of mine was telling me how he thinks he's finally ready to buy an NBA jersey for the first time but the Wizards don't have any players he'd want a jersey of lol. No real young talent to hang their hat on and the established talent are some combination of boring, likely to be moved, or just not good enough.

They've been mediocre for a while now, but at least when John Wall was around, they were a fun mediocre team. Now they're simply boring to watch more often than not. No real young talent to hang their hat on and the established talent are some combination of boring, likely to be moved, or just not good enough.

Wizards seems like a play-in team at best. Beal will be 30 next year. Avdija, Hachimura, Johnny Davis are the young guys. Without seeing Davis much, they don't seem like building blocks. Still needs to true facilitating PG to make things easier for Beal and crew. I think Beal can "bounce back" if he didn't have to create so much for himself and others. If Hachimura ans Avdija would have taken a step by now, they would be in a better place.

They should either embrace it and tear it down or take the Portland route and make yourself believe that you can contend by making moves to transform the roster. They don't have young enticing talent, but they do have rotation players with good stackable contracts. There shouldn't be anyone who is untouchable on that roster. At least teams like Orlando and Detroit recognized that they weren't going anywhere and embraced the rebuild and got young talent that are building blocks.

He's boring as hell to me relative to most good players and TBD on if Washington ever realizes it's best to move on from him.
