Re: February Games Discussion Thread
Think it was last year I was questioning why people have such a negative perception of Kyrie and whether or not it was really warranted
Id just like to say, I get it now after this year [emoji23]

Re: February Games Discussion Thread
Irving’s trade demand rocked NBA circles on Friday, but he’s not the one teams are most interested in.
One rumor I never heard was Lowry for Irving.
Obviously Heat would need to give up more, but Lowry has 1 year left after this one and I don't know if he plays beyond his contract.Comment

Re: February Games Discussion Thread
Assuming health I don’t think they are far away. But that’s the key. Is AD healthy. With that said I’ve never been a fan of any of the proposed trades for one guy. Russ for multiple players, or Pat + Walker for a clear upgrade around 20 mil with Russ still 6th man or still moved for multiple pieces is still a better trade IMO.
Depends on the trade. Are other teams giving up enough to give a better offer than the Lakers? And at 11 million apart are the Lakers getting back anything else from the Nets? Any of Harris, Royce, or Curry goes a step further in checking off some needs for LAL. And the Rui move already helped some with some of the length issues.
Lakers can’t resign Walker this off-season anyways, so is Russ, Walker, and draft capital (if even required based on what other teams are willing to risk for Kyrie) enough to get back Kyrie + some shooting?
It’s also one of the only superstar trades that makes sense from a roster standpoint too. Moves Dennis to 6th man where pretty much all other Russ rumors you lose your 6th man and after the Rui trade you pretty much have Dennis as the only PG on the roster.Comment

I still feel like everything Kyrie gets made into a way bigger deal than it actually is. But the problem is it’s just always SOMETHING with him. It never stops.Comment

Re: February Games Discussion Thread
He's looking for a max contract? Why the hell would ANYONE give Kyrie Irving a maximum 4 or 5 year contract based on his track record and now this? Nah the correct questions are being asked here.Comment

In all seriousness, so letting him go and in turn losing your other star player(the only 2 players who give you your only shot to win a title)makes more sense than to just pay him and deal with the ****? Mind you’re not going to replace him with another player with the money you offered him too.
You’re already paying $40 Mil per year to a guy who’s back on his mess of sitting out games because he’s hurt so why draw the line at the extra year?
I’m asking these questions as if you’re Joe Tsai btw.
You and anyone else can DM your responses so we don’t clog this thread up too.Last edited by ProfessaPackMan; 02-03-2023, 07:56 PM.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: February Games Discussion Thread
According to Chris Haynes-
Kyrie Irving’s camp did not negotiate after Brooklyn Nets presented an offer that was tied to team winning a championship, league sources tell @NBAonTNT, @BleacherReport. Told the issue was not about money, and now it’s said he wouldn’t even stay if offered a full max contract.Comment

Come on King, sit on down and let’s have nuanced discussion about this. We don’t have too many of these because Sports Fans hate having these type of talks, lol.

Told the VP of the Players Association that I’d you win a championship then you’ll get paid.
What you think of that 24?
Sounds vague as hell but still wild to hear if that is the case, which I don’t doubt since Haynes is plugged in with the players, like Shams is.#RespectTheCultureComment
