And yes Brooks is incredibly streaky and takes the toughest shots possible. He’s been a bit worse than normal this year, not many of those games where he catches fire. But he takes Kobe shots, shots that even great players won’t shoot at super high percentages.

Problem with him is when he joined the team Ja couldn’t shoot, there was no Bane, he was the only guy who could really create his own shot out of nothing. Whether it’s him, coaching, whatever he’s never dialed that back. More suited for a 6th man role IMO.
I feel like aside from those games where he thinks he’s 05 Kobe, he’s still a super impactful player.

I like Shaq on Inside, but obviously not for the actual analysis, but just for the joking around (although that's true of the whole show really, but at least Kenny knows what he's talking about, and Barkley tries too lol)
Plus Kenny has a different sense of humor, while Shaq and Chuck are pretty similar. Hearing more from Kenny and EJ is a good thing.

Yeah no team has a bright future immediately following their dynasty, but at least GS has some pieces that keep them from the absolute cellar for too long

100% impactful because he almost always guards the other teams best player. Not going to say he's a first defensive team guy, but he'll bust his *** for 40 minutes on whoever and that has value. And he's a decently skilled scorer. Shot selection aside he has the skillset to score at all 3 levels, just takes too many bad shots to make him efficient.

My thing with him is mostly I just wanted them to upgrade if they could because their picks won't matter for awhile. Whether that meant moving him in the trade, or moving him to 6th man because they had matching salary with Danny Green and Ziaire Williams. Or even letting Bane be that sparkplug scorer off the bench and keep Brooks in the line-up.

That's why I liked the OG trade, or Bridges rumor, for all the picks. Get guys who bring the same level of defense, but take better shots, are more efficient scorers, and far less of the really stupid fouls, flagrant fouls, and techs. He's second in techs (just one behind Draymond), tied for first in flagrants, and I'm sure if dumbs fouls when you're pissed/mouthing were a counted stat he would lead in that too lol.

There is a bit of that Dray, Pat Bev type of energy with him, and that's fine because every team needs that to a degree. And he's good at playing that role... But just too many games were he's just stupid for lack of a better word. Because it's almost never just one thing with him, it's both ends of the floor.

I think the biggest issue with all of that is I'm not sure if he can really scale back and be an efficient off ball player. He's not really a shooter like that. He really relies on touches and rhythm I feel like and you just hope he has enough nights with the hot hand. In a way he has some similarities to Lance when he was on the Pacers when it comes to that.

Stop playing that one dimensional Rudy Yogurt and free Garza. And thank me later Minnesota.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, games like this Cavs-Hawks one is why it is insane to gamble on games.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I can't say I expected the blowout. But Cavs on a back to back on the road against a fully rested Atlanta team is why I stayed away.

I liked Milwaukee by 5 tonight and really like LAC. Think those are safe bets. Suns are also intriguing. Got a team on the rise playing okc on a back to back.

Yea that one is surprising. Don't think the Bulls could even choke that away.

46 for Julius Randle. Knicks come back from down 19 to the Wizards to win on the road.
