What would be the benefit of the team as currently constructed remaining in the playoffs? They're either gonna be offloading talent to try to get a star player, or just go full rebuild somehow.

Edit: I read up on it and I guess Houston controls their draft picks, so it doesn't matter where they finish.

Soooo it’s not possible to just be a team that contends for playoffs? A team to gives fans something to be happy/excited for? It’s only “Contend for a Championship or Suck”?

Idk what do GMs/front offices think? Especially without any star players on the roster.

Each situation is different though. Because we’ve seen teams with all star players be garbage.

But this team in particular doesn’t/shouldn’t be tanking for anything no time soon. If all they’re going to be in just a playoff team for the foreseeable future…that’s still ok!
