Might be an early hot take but early on Vanderbilt was the biggest acquisition in that trade. Dude has a tremendous cat and mouse game when guys pick their dribble up. I feel like there are multiple times every game that he forces teams to waste an extra 3-4 seconds on a possession, which is huge but will never show in any box-score. Of course he’s solid with traditional defense as well, but that part just really stands out.

Bron just dared him to hit that so he hit it… why give that up? Would make more sense to overplay and give them a 2 but waste a couple more seconds. Weird choice.Comment

Re: February Games Discussion Thread
He is, and it works often so who am I to judge, but that one just felt dumb. If he makes him drive the clock goes down a couple more seconds and even if he hits the open layup the Lakers are up 4 after Dennis hits the free throws rather than 3. So no chance to tie, and likely not enough time either.Comment

Dallas doesn't really have the defense to go anywhere. When they need stops they can't get them.

I mean as the basketball player i just think his actual impact is far less than what his rep is. regardless of the outcome i think both aren't very good. lucky for them the whole rest is also mid aside from Den. GSW when healthy obviously good.Wolverines Packers Cubs Celtics

Re: February Games Discussion Thread
How often does a mid season coaching change like this happens outside of the organization? Usually someone internally gets the call like Nate did. I wonder how this works. Changing philosophies is one thing.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories
