I've been really in a funk since the Bron injury, this win without our 3 best players has lifted my spirits a little bit.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

And after Giannis's somewhat slow start he's up to 31/12/5.

Bucks now at the top of the East, with quite a few injuries this year. He should be right back in that MVP hunt. No disrespect meant to Embiid, Tatum, Luka, but it seems like Joker and Giannis have sorta ran away from the rest of the pack.

I think that's the case. I don't think Embiid has a chance. Even if he doesn't miss anymore games, he'll be at 69 games and I think I saw a stat that no one one won an MVP with under 70 played. I still see Embiid missing about 3-5 more games. I think Embiid’s best chances were to average same stats, but be a #1 seed with a max of 10 games missed.

I think it's Joker's MVP to lose. He's been super durable, puts a consistent ridiculous stat line, and they're almost a lock at the #1 seed. I can see if some might think of voter's fatigue to give him 3 straight MVPs. But, I do think he has gotten better each year. For a Center to average a triple double on 63%/39% is beyond ridiculous. Even as a Sixers fan, I think Joker deserves it.

While I agree.... I say give the award to Tatum. If LeBron lost that other award. "Voter fatigue" I say the same here [emoji23]

I think MVP is Jokic to lose.

But if that man gets 3 in a row and doesn’t even sniff a Finals appearance…it’s gonna get ugly for that man, lol.

Not trying to put the green shades on too much, but I'd consider

Jrue in the 10 ten conversation for MVP.

I haven't seen a consistent offense from him since he arrived, and

                  at clutch times.

I agree. I do think Voter's fatigue will kick in next year, especially if they don't sniff the finals. If he averages a triple double, how much better can he get.

But I do think it's a chance that Nuggets don't get out of the second round. High chance that they play either Suns, Warriors, or Clippers in the second round. I think Memphis has an easier path to the conference finals than Nuggets

And as good as they’ve been they look incredibly beatable for a 1 seed. Especially with any injuries. A lot will depend on how much they can turn up defensively, but even then there is just so much inconsistency with Murray and MPJ.

They were talking about it on NBA radio a bit the other day, the idea of some guy getting 3 straight MVP but not getting to the finals. And they pointed out that Jokic has yet to even play with another All-Star.

He’s in that weird territory of where most 1 star teams don’t have high expectations but with him on the floor that team is really good. And even with no All-Stars they have 3-4 really solid guys around him. It’s just a weird spot, even this year with guys back his on/off splits are +24. I know you can’t only look at that as some end all be all metric, if he didn’t exist they would obviously switch up how they play. But as it currently stands they rely on him so much, again, that they’re basically worse than the Spurs in minutes without him.

Idk what the answer for them becomes if they lose early. Odds are this group just isn’t going to get it done outside of injury luck or something if it doesn’t happen this year. And that’s fine, sometimes you just have a good team for 6-8 years that never makes it over. But they really need to add something significant, or MPJ just break out into a star. But sucks for Joker individually because like you said he’s basically going to get the Bron/KG treatment from those first runs in Cle/Minny, even if we already know the expectations might be a bit extreme beforehand.

What’s going to be really bad is if Golden State, maybe even the Lakers sneak in to that last spot and are healthy. Golden State when all is clicking could still be lethal, Lakers are just a horrible matchup for them if they are whole even if that’s the only round they could win.

Silver lining is if he sticks around forever and eventually gets one like Dirk people just all of a sudden forget about all those “failures” they threw at his feet.

I know Bucks Fans won’t be sympathizing because they had to deal with it with Giannis until he finally won in 2021. Hell, my QB has won 4 of them and only has 1 SB Appearance/Win to show for it and I constantly hear mess about that so I get it, lol.

But it will definitely be a wild look to win 3 in a row and not even have a Finals appearance under his belt. But MVP Voting is the one topic where people will constantly move the goal posts for a player.

The other day I was looking leaders on NBAreference and didn't realized that Jokic is leading every single advance stat. Like literally all of them.

So glad I didn't pull the trigger in the summer on that Nuggets ticket to win the Title bet because some ****ing guy on a betting channel said I could get better odds later in the season. So glad (it isn't even that I think they are a sure thing or anything, but having that ticket would so much fun right now).

Like the number 10? Like when you've counted all of the digits on your hand individually 10? In the National Basketball Association Most Valuable Player award race? When have we EVER gave a damn about anybody past 5 in that race and you considering top 10? Come on now road, you know better than this lol
