    Re: 2023 NBA Trade Deadline

What a day. All I want is for the Lakers to have a healthy squad for the rest of the season, as Lebron misses tonight's game for load management, to see what we can do down the stretch.

I'm not saying this facetiously, but I will be rooting for the Nets to come back strong and become a solid playoff team in a few years, yes they chose to bring him in, but they never had a chance when they brought in Kyrie.

The buyout market should be really interesting.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I understand that point of view, but I think Crowder and Jrue bring that already.

I just like Jackson's all around game better, I heard he has a interest in the Suns.

I wouldn't be upset about Bev being on the team, though.

IMO I think that you should be mad if Beverly joins your squad, lmao, I just don't see him as a Bucks kinda player.

That last part is absolutely false considering what happened 2 years ago but I digress.

A chance to win A title a couple of years ago, sure, but a chance to have sustained success and stability for many years, no way.

Which is real easy to say after the fact. But if you’re going to sit there and say “Oh I saw this coming even after that Bucks series”, I’m definitely going to raise an eyebrow lol

That mandate definitely changed the trajectory of things for sure though.

To be fair I think a LOT of people were saying it before the fact too lol.

Not saying I agree, I thought this was going to work for them especially since it seemed like they chose it together. But still we had people calling this from the beginning and mocking the idea that KD chose to hitch his wagon to Kyrie because this would inevitably happen.

I believe so. Isn't that what's happening here:

2025 first round draft pick to New Orleans or New York
Milwaukee's 2025 1st round pick to New Orleans protected for selections 5-30 or to New York protected for selections 1-4 (Milwaukee's obligation to New Orleans or New York will thereafter be extinguished) (via New Orleans to Portland to Detroit to New York) [Denver-Milwaukee-New Orleans-Oklahoma City, 11/23/2020; New Orleans-Portland, 2/8/2022; Detroit-Portland, 7/6/2022; Detroit-New York, 7/6/2022]

                      No I get that.

But even that took some wild **** for it to happen. Covid, silly Covid Mandate, which pretty much started this whole thing. If that doesn’t happen, all 3 of them are still here because KD signed an extension immediately after that Bucks series and Kyrie/Harden we’re going to be the next but then the mandate threw a wrench in those plans.

Just trying to apply some context to it, even though those people still ended up being “right” in the end.

It's something I get. But I see why outsiders question. I think every team has that player in the fan base a lot of people respect them more. Like a Laundry Fields... Spike was wearing his jersey. A lot of people respected him. I can see that for Tybulle in Philly.

Even if there is no Covid, I have zero faith those 3 would have worked out there. They would have still complained about coaches, posted stuff online, gotten injured, acted moody and distant multiple times throughout the year, and then blamed it all on the GM/ownership. KD and Kyrie were always a tough pairing to believe in, honestly.
