Re: 2023 NBA Trade Deadline
I really do wonder where Patrick will end up now. Remember when players like this could resign with their old team in this situation. I'm so happy they got rid of that [emoji23]Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: 2023 NBA Trade Deadline
ESPN Sources: The four-team trade, held up by Golden State’s concern over Gary Payton II’s physical, is tracking to be completed today. Deal allows Payton II (Golden State) James Wiseman (Detroit), Saddiq Bey (Atlanta) and Kevin Knox (Portland) to join new teams.Comment

Re: 2023 NBA Trade Deadline
Looks like Sixers are signing Dwayne Dedmon. Meh at best. I figured they would sign a washed up center that Doc would play regardless of performance. I was hoping they wait out until the possibility of Nerlens Noel getting bought out.Comment

Re: 2023 NBA Trade Deadline
WTF is going on with Kevin Love right now. Cavs saying they won’t buy him out of he’s picking Miami?Comment

Re: 2023 NBA Trade Deadline
They view Miami+Kevin Love as too great a threat to them or something??
Personal vendetta? Still salty about "The Decision?"
I don't get it
Edit: An initial google search says they will still buy him out, just that part of that will be preventing him from signing with the Heat. That makes more sense than holding him hostageLast edited by ggsimmonds; 02-17-2023, 05:45 PM.Comment

Re: 2023 NBA Trade Deadline
If it's specifically Miami, then maybe it's because of LeBron leaving and they're still bitter? If it's just any playoff team in the east, that makes more sense. You wouldn't want a guy who knows your team/coaching staff better than anyone else winding up on the team you're playing in the playoffs.Last edited by Majingir; 02-17-2023, 05:46 PM.Comment

Re: 2023 NBA Trade Deadline
It's weird how a guy would want a buyout from a current playoff team. Not even like Cavs are a bubble play in team, they're top 4 in the east. And he stuck around for the bad years post LeBron but wants out now?

Re: 2023 NBA Trade Deadline
But didn't he start out hot this year or somewhere close?
I don't see why they would fear him going to Miami. I mean, there is a good chance they can face Miami in first round in a 3-6 or 4-5 matchup. But, Cleveland has the guys who can guard Love, so just cut ties.Comment

Re: 2023 NBA Trade Deadline
He's out of the rotation, I think. I think the concern is the perimeter defense is why he's out of the rotation.

Cleveland doesn't seem to be oozing confidence hereComment

Re: 2023 NBA Trade Deadline
I wonder if it’s just Miami or if Miami is just the team mentioned because that is where he was linked to. Meaning, maybe it’s any eastern conference playoff team.
Still weird. I’m sure this has happened in the past, but I can’t recall it off the top.
I could see a few teams being interested, he still has value as a shooter.Comment

Re: 2023 NBA Trade Deadline
I’ll take him in BK. ****, I’d rather go ahead and give him Ben’s minutes.
He’s still a high IQ player, need a good vet presence other than Spencer in the locker room, got enough defenders to at least minimize the negative effect he would have on that side.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2023 NBA Trade Deadline
Feel the same way in Philly. Anything is better than Trez's minutes. Paul Reed can't be trusted and is at best good in spurts. Dedmon is likely going to be this year's version of DeAndre Jordan. At best for Dedmon, is that is a different version of bad. As long as Love can still rebound and hit an occasional 3, he'd be a fit most places.Comment
