Good response so far from Nets. Playing more up-tempo, getting up more shots, taking care of ball. Whe the Sixers are turning over the ball and not hitting the three like first game

Embiid with only 4 shot attempts, Harden just 2 points and 4 Turnovers, and both Harris and McDaniels in foul trouble

Nets doing a good job of immediately doubling Embiid before he gets to put the ball down

Not surprised at Philly looking like this. They had that fake *** shooting Game 1 and this more like how they’ve been most of the year

Nets have a good job defending Embiid though, especially with fronting and not letting him establish ground.

I agree. While Sixers had the best 3pt% as a team, when the 3pt shot isn't falling, Sixers can get really sloppy. Especially when Embiid is kept in check.

If it wasn't for Maxey, this game wouldn't be close.

Sixers very fortunate to be down just 5 at half. Nets kept Embiid in check, Sixers being sloppy on offense, and Harden is just jacking up BS shots. Maxey kept them in the game so far.

But Sixers are a good "flip the switch" team in the 2nd half of games this year, so interested to see how it finishes

Heck if Harden didn't hit all those threes in the first game, then he's had a bad first two games. He has three levels, either he looks like a All NBA PG, he's just ok, or he's needs to be benched. That's what scares me about him getting a big deal in the offseason and I really worry how he ages

Harden gotta pick up his end too but his game is also “easy” to predict/defend because he’s only going to do 3 things and one of those relies on an outside party(Refs)

I imagine they’ll start trying to force feed Embiid touches in the 2nd half.

When Harden's struggling, he goes into overdrive when it comes to trying to draw fouls. Yeah his game is very predictable. For the most part it's just stepbacks, going for layups, or drawing fouls. He can be really frustrating to watch when he's very reckless with the ball and jacking up bad shots. Refs don't reward you when you're blatantly trying to draw fouls.

Haven't seen to much two man game from Embiid and Harden. Especially, the PNR. I imagine they try to run more of that and try to have Embiid establish deep position to allow faster shot attempts

I love how diplomatic and careful the announcers are when talking about the Nets' season up until those trades. It's OK to call it a disaster and a shamockery. And it wasn't even the team's fault.

Sixers picking up the pace

As I said, Sixers are a good flip the switch team in the second half. Sixers are starting to take advantage of the Embiid doubles by quickly moving the ball and finding open guys
