Surprised that Sixers are starting Paul Reed. Doc usually like keeping his primary backup centers coming off the bench when the starter is out. I expect Sixers to go switch heavy. Wonder how they approach the backup Center minutes. Obviously can't really go 48 minutes with Reed/Tucker. Reed is prone to get into foul trouble. Can't play Dedmon against Nets small lineup and not sure you want to play Trez at all this playoff. If Reed can stay out of foul trouble, I expect them to play Tucker in short spurts in order to have them play him as a backup 5

What was the point of the Trezz signing?

Seemed like he was good for eating up those minutes at the 5 early in the season and that was about it.

I think the issue was there was a big emphasis on getting "dawgs". Trez is a Doc guy and there were recent reports that Harden trusted Trez more early, once Reed played more consistently, Trez was done. He was a good early innings eater, but that was it. If it wasn't for his option next year, it would have made sense to cut him at the deadline. Even getting Dedmon felt like a waste. But the issue was there was no trust(rightfully) in Reed.

I think Reed is likely gone in the offseason. I can see someone offering him the MLE. Ideally Harrell doesn't pick up his option. So, Sixers will still need to figure out the backup Center spot

I can see Embiid sitting until a potential game 6. This obviously isn't a must win for the Sixers, but this is one you want to win because Boston lost last night. I think the earliest the second round would start for second round is Saturday now, so you would want Embiid to sit for at least a week
