For pushing the Suns' owner? I could totally see the NBA doing that. [emoji38]

I know I'm thinking way ahead, but is Mike Malone's job on the line in this series? If a championship-winning coach(es) has a short leash surely Malone does too.

Nuggets got next to nothing from their bench. If they got something. They win. Shamet outscored the entire Nugs bench.

Right, but they also need Porter Jr. to step up and be the third option he's paid to be. The guy was nearly invisible - while being a traffic cone on defense - on offense.

He was tough on the boards and had that nice steal that should've led to free throws (bad missed call by the refs).

Still, they need him to step up big time or this will be another playoff disappointment for Denver.

I think that's where Denver ultimately falls short. They don't have a great 3rd guy and have a weak bench. I still like them winning this series. But MPJ shows flashes of brilliance but I don't know if he's that guy yet. He settles far too often.

You get almost 30 from Murray and 50 plus from Joker. That has to be a win.

Re: Western Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread

Looking back on that play with Joker and Ishbia I actually think Ishbia should be fined.

I think it was Chuck and Kenny saying if that was a normal fan and he put his hands a player first he's kicked out. Possibly banned? Joker said after the game, owner or not he's sitting on the floor watching the game therefore he is a fan.

I agree 100%. Regardless of occupation, in that moment he's a fan. Not only did he make contact first but he was also impacting the game by holding on to the ball. Not letting Joker inbound the ball and likely start a 5 on 4 break the other way. Game basically came down to one possession. Who knows how much that could have impacted the way things played out.

Quote From Mike Malone and from Jokic:

Mike Malone: "I think it's crazy that Nikola [Jokic] got a technical foul… He's going to get the ball and some fan is holding onto the ball like he wants to be apart of the game."

Reporter: "The fan was the owner of the Suns."

              MM: "I don't give a sh*t."
"He told me I was elbowing the fan, but the fan put his hands on me first. I thought the league is supposed to protect us. But maybe I'm wrong.”
IDK to me it's worse that he is an owner, that means he should know better. League should issue a flop warning to Ishbia and move on. Can't believe Joker got a tech, and if he gets more this league is stupid. He wants to be apart of the game so bad, wants to be treated special because he's the owner, then they shoulda just let him be part of the team and given Phoenix the tech in-game. smh

Re: Western Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread

I can't be the only person sitting here wondering if we were watching the same thing here right? Ishbia should be fined and issued a flop warning? WTF? A fine for what exactly? The ball literally falls into his lap and no player or ref comes for the ball until about 9 seconds after it bounces to him because Jokic was too busy flailing at the ref that it should be Nuggets ball and Murray immediately walks away from baseline after the whistle. It looks like the ball lands in Ishbia's lap and his immediate reaction as he's standing up is checking on his player since no one immediately comes to the ball. What he's supposed to just throw it to no one looking for it? When Jokic comes over to him he's literally got his head turned to Okogie whom he's helping up with his other arm. Jokic forcibly yanks the ball from him (putting his hands on him first despite Joker claiming Ishbia initiated contact with him) to which Ishbia reacts and slaps the ball away from Joker.

Then there's the "flop" are we serious right now? Grown *** men will defend NBA players flopping all over the court and say a guy didn't flop in some situations, but 6'8" 280+ pound Nikola Jokic putting his damn forearm into 5 foot nothing, 170 or something pound regular *** man's neck and stepping into the shove is THAT guy flopping and he should be fined for it? Nah that's absurd lol

I also notice the sports world has no problem wanting Draymond Green getting suspended for anything he does ejection worthy. Definitely had no issue looking for an ejection and/or suspension on Embiid a couple nights later. Here we go with Jokic forearm shivering a “fan” after instigating an incident and suddenly it’s “I hope the NBA doesn’t do anything stupid” and suspend Jokic a game. Interesting….

                      This was a joke

Flailing lol, his arms goes up for half a second before turning his attention from the ref almost immediately lol. Takes him all of 3-4 seconds to get over there and reach for the ball? IDK I don't have the stop watch, you posted the clip and still are way off lol.

Murray immediately walks away from baseline after the whistle.
Irrelevant, but if you've ever watched a Nuggets game Murray also isn't who inbounds the ball for Denver. Isn't the guy who drops full court inbounds bombs when they have a 5-4 advantage going the other way either.

None of this matters, fans aren't supposed to just sit there holding the ball, especially if a player tires to get it from them, and especially not put their hands on the player. The other fan was immediately ejected, owner would have been too if he wasn't an owner. But this all applies double if you're the owner and creating an advantage for you're team. It's silly to even argue otherwise. If this was a Bulls game you would be in here livid and you know it.

                      Jokic forcibly yanks
So much force, surprised he wasn't on the canvas for a 10 count

King the last view of that clip clearly shows him acting. If you are just choosing not to see that then that is on you. Booker even joked about it post game, I was joking about him "flopping" as I typed it, the announcers were joking about it mid-game, the TNT crew after the game. J-Will, Max, and Keyshawn all joking about him flopping on their show. Why are you trying so hard to make this something it's not?

You're comparing this to Green smacking dudes in the balls, poking their eyes, jumping on rib cages? Really?

Embiid wasn't suspended. I didn't see anybody here saying he should be suspended. You are the only person acting "Interesting..." in how you're picking and choosing here.

Nobody needs to be fined or suspended, regardless of who it is.

Chalk it to some playoff foolishness and keep it moving.

Lmao huh? I’m trying so hard to make it something it’s not? No that would be what you’re doing. Okay you’re right, it wasn’t 9 seconds, it was 6 seconds before after the ball landed in his lap before anybody went for the ball.

You acting like I’m calling for Joker to get suspended, not doing that now nor have I said that at any point. But it’s a lot of white knighting for him and acting like Ishbia did something completely out of pocket going on right now.

Again, the ball lands in his lap and he catches it with one hand while his other is kind of bracing against the guy next to him as Okogie lands in his lap and he’s helping him up as he stands up not even looking at Joker as his first reaction is to help his player. Why is Jokic marching over to get the ball and getting a pass from you as if nothing is wrong when the ref has to touch the ball before it’s inbounded anyway? Every time you’ve seen a ball go into the stands a ref usually gets it thrown back to them, even a player will clap their hands and call for it so the fan can toss it to them, I’ve never seen one instance of no one immediately going to get the ball back and then instead of asking for it back from the fan just grabbing and yanking it away from them. But go off. None of this should have been a big deal, but Jokic made it one by escalating the situation.

Just come out and say what you're implying lol. We already been through this with the Perk stuff. Jokic doesn't have the rep Draymond has (and deserves). And I don't remember people asking for anything serious after the Embiid incident.
