Why don't you talk about amare stadomire(sp) or kevin garnett or lebron?
    Maybe cause they are exceptions?

Practicing against nba guys is better then what any college team can give you, there's no comparison at all
And i'd argue that game experience in College is better than riding the pine which is what alot of these young bucs end up doing in the L.And college coaches do alot more teaching than at the pro level.

Do you know how many players that are contributing right now go under that exception?

And how do college coaches teach more than pro coaches? That is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.

And some of you guys are giving me reasons WHY players shouldn't go to college if they can go to the NBA...
        1. They get money from boosters
        2. They don't have to worry about school
        3. They get just as much distraction in college as they would in the NBA

^That's everything wrong with college sports today. I'm glad we're promoting it here on OS.

I dont know if I like this from a legal standpoint, but I hope this will make both the college and the pro game better.
            What is your legal objection?

Something becomes problematic. If the best HS players turn pro instead of going to college over time, the teams who need the draft to improve are screwed.

That's not true at all. The teams decide to draft the players. If they did their jobs scouting then they wouldn't have anything to worr about. Nobody forces them to pick the young players, they do it on their own.

I dont like the age limit. If these youngsters can play ball on the professional level, why force them to wait? Its not like the players draft themselves, NBA GM's, coaches, owners, etc do. Some of the leagues best players came from high school KG, TMAC, Kobe, Lebron...etc

Not everyone will get an offer to duke and not all college coaches actually care about their players
And there have been guys who got great while in the nba. And just because you have a couple of players who have a hard time adjusting to life in the nba doesn't mean anything. Players who go to college for four years and then go to the nba have to adjust too. Why don't you talk about amare stadomire(sp) or kevin garnett or lebron?[/QUOTE]

                                1. That is true, but most guys dont get cought. I am talking about the stars here, and while it might not be "right", we now how the system is.

                                2. That is true, but if these guys are good enough to go pro genereally they will get offers from good schools. Most college coaches carea bout winning, so in turn they will care about these players.

A couple of players have a hard time adjusting. For every Lebrom, Amare, etc... there are 50 high school kids that are bankrupt and have no future cause they dont make it in the NBA. YOu know why you dont know/hear of these guys, cause they didnt make it and know they are workin gas janitors somewhere.
