I don’t think LaVine to any of those rumored teams makes any sense at all other than the Lakers and I don’t see how they can even realistically make an offer for him unless his value is in the gutter..

Heat could maybe use him as a “he’s better then Herro” move, but he’s not even close to enough money and all these new CBA rules make consolidating guys so difficult now. Herro is also outplaying him right now (or at least even with him) and he’s 4-5 years younger.

“Sources” say he might be open to Kings or Spurs, both of those make a bit more sense than any of the heavily rumored teams but Chicago ain’t going to want some deal centered around Harrison Barnes, and who knows of San Antonio wants a high usage scorer like that who still isn’t a point guard.. Caruso being involved there might swing things a bit but he’s also not really a point guard either.. more so just a guy who defends them.

To me it seems all signs point to him ultimately getting traded somewhere he doesn’t wanna be. Unless Bulls are just wanting to do him a solid for whatever reason.

I agree. Sixers need an eiite off ball 2 way wing and Heat probably need an improvement over Lowry over Herro. Lakers make sense, but as you said his salary makes it tough. You pretty much have to trade Reeves, Hachimura, and DLo for him after Jan 15th and Lavine isn't worth that.

He has the talent, but he isn't plug and play since he's not a good defender. He's better off as a #2 guy, but not a #2 on a title team guy. I don't think he'll be a willing #3. Spit balling, but what about the Raptors for Siakam. I think LaVine could play off of Barnes and be a good 1-2 punch and enough defense around Lavine. Just don't know how it benefits the Bulls outside of clearing the books and who would have to send picks

I can agree with that. I just don't like the fit with the Sixers. As good as the Maxey's start season has been, Maxey still defers too much at times and adding Lavine wouldn't help that. I heard a stat that Maxey only averages 3-5 points in the first and third quarter. He focuses to much on deferring to Embiid and setting up starters. It isn't until he's with 2nd unit in the start of 2nd and 4th, that he scores in bunches. Lavine would be another guy that would cut into that. The main benefit of Lavine would be that he's a more than willing 3pt shooter. I'm not super high on any of current proposed Sixers targets. I guess highest on the list would be OG, but the cost to trade and sign him would be a overpay. The ideal third guy would be a prime PG13 or prime Klay


Those types of trades are hard to make in season when considering that both teams would have to make corresponding moves to make sure both teams have roster spots

Jokic in foul trouble and they just don’t have another dynamic threat without Murray.. they really need MPJ and to be that guy but just not sure how realistic that is.
