With two historically great passers out there now, you would think every Clippers game would be an assist clinic. Instead they are near bottom of the league in assists-per-possession. What a shocker.

Might be one of the smoothest reverses I’ve seen from Bron.. as athletic as he is that size/weight has always made him a little clunky with a lack of hang time compared to other high-fliers, but that looked smooth af.

I think it'll turn around soon for the Clippers, though. Harden is a big piece to just throw into that lineup. But, him only taking 6 shots isn't going to cut it. 6 Clippers shot more attempts tonight. I don't know how long his career will last if he doesn't adjust his game. He is physically capable, but not mentally. He has to be a threat off the ball for this to work for the Clippers. If he's not willing to move without the ball or be willing to take catch and shoot 3s, it isn't going to work

Reaves and Bron chemistry is so high.

This Reaves-Cam-Rui-Bron-Wood lineup has lots of size, skill, and shot making making. And it puts the ball in Bron/Reaves hands. If this group can defend and Cam can stick the quick guards Ham might have found his ideal rotation for when AD is on the bench.

It’s tough because they have Russ, otherwise I almost feel the opposite. I’d rather than Harden with the ball and get Kawhi+PG doing a bit more off-ball.

They have a weird mix of guys. Will be interesting to see if it ever all clicks. What makes it all more difficult is this isn’t a particularly great defensive group either. Kawhi has the best hands in the league but even at his peak his off-ball and help defense might have always been his weakest link. At this stage I don’t view his on-ball defense as elite against the best players, and PG’s best defense is when he can really jump those passing lanes and get disruptive. He might be their best all around defender at this point, but his strengths rely on guys who put tons of pressure on the ball and delay those passing windows just a bit.

Throw Russ and Harden into the mix and you’ve got none of the 4 who are that effective against all the quick guards teams have now, nobody to really lock up the elite wings, and the purpose of sticking tons of defenders around Kawhi and PG originally was so they didn’t burn 40 minutes of effort defending stars every night and that’s out the window now.

I feel like another roster move might need to happen at some point. Or somehow heavily stagger the Harden/Russ minutes. Russ is already seeing the minutes go down.
