Re: 3/19 - 4/14 Games Discussion Thread
I figured Maxey would do some type of action where he would use his speed to get a lane to the basket. I just wasn't sure if they could pull it of. Nic Batum is a great Entry passer. With how bad Sixers are inbounding or entry passing in the past, Batum brings that assetComment

Great win. Spurs crumbled down the stretch. This was a game I would've hated to lose. Maxey was great with a career high in 52. Batum made some clutch plays, Oubre was a good second option, and Council provided good play in OT.
Damn, Maxey played 54 minutes on a 2nd game of a B2B. Sit him against PistonsLast edited by illwill10; 04-07-2024, 09:07 PM.Comment

Not sure why NBA execs still think Doc Rivers is an answer. Should of just stuck with the other guy. Doc reminds me alot of Calipari in college basketball. Alot of great talent. 1 title and the game has passed him by.Comment

I didn't think it was likely that Bucks would fall out of 2nd. But their last 4 games are tough. They face Celtics, Orlando, Thunder, and Orlando. With the way how they're playing, it's a legit possibility that they might fall out of 2nd. Orlando has a tough stretch and Cavs have been slumping. I think it's a legit possibility that the Knicks could end up as the #2 seed.
As a Sixers fan, I'm not going to short change Doc. Doc isn't a bad coach. He's almost a lock for 50+ wins every year and he wasn't the reason the Sixers lost the playoff series. Doc is just set in his ways. He's a better regular season coach than a playoff coach. Doc doesn't like playing young guys, he doesn't experiment with lineups, he's more of a "this is my system, and you have to fit this role" type of coach. I can see the Bucks picking it up when it matters most. I just think certain series might be trouble. I think Miami would be a bad matchup for them..Last edited by illwill10; 04-08-2024, 09:27 AM.Comment

I don't know. If he inherits a contender sure. But if he doesn't have a cast of stars he's pretty mid. And he constantly underachieves with really good players.I didn't think it was likely that Bucks would fall out of 2nd. But their last 4 games are tough. When we gonna start looking at roster construction of that team?
We know the “Griffin was 30-13 before he got fired” argument holds no weight because they were winning in spite of that with other factors being at play too.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 3/19 - 4/14 Games Discussion Thread
He definitely prefers having multiple stars. The Sixers job was supposed to go to Ty Lue and Doc even vouched for him for it, until he got fired and wanted the job. From what I remembered, Embiid wanted Doc and Simmons wanted Lue. I will defend Doc when it comes to not having stars at times. In the last couple years with Philly, Philly played well when Embiid Embiid and Maxey was out. Those felt like the best coached games.
I do agree with Pack when it comes to roster construction. They really don't have the depth. The main 4 off the bench are Pat Bev, Pat Conn, Crowder, and Portis. They are very reliant on Giannis and Dame going off and everyone else hitting shots. Not too many perimeter defenders.Comment
