Don’t think that’s going to happen. Jokic had his typical lead the league in everything year and they currently have the exact same record.

Not saying there aren’t people who already viewed SGA as having a strong case (I think Shaq picked him), but if they had him a comfortable 2nd, or even behind guys like Luka and Giannis before the records really started to separate here at the end, then I can’t imagine being tied in wins or literally having 1 more win is moving the needle.

Tatum was most likely the only guy who was going to take it this year in terms of team standings and performance. But he seems to be out of the picture.

A shame Embiid didn’t stay healthy. He seemed like the strongest case this season before that. Bucks sliding so badly really hurt too, but we are realistically probably an injury and few team wins away from SGA most likely being 5th behind Joel, Joker, Giannis, Luka.

Somewhat sucks for Tatum. He’s basically being punished by how good Boston is. I don’t think that’s a horrible take to have, Boston would be a better team without Tatum than probably any other top 10 MVP candidate’s team would be without their guy. But at the same time he’s also propelling a really good team to a historically great one. Maybe had they pushed closer to that 70-win mark (they probably should have) he would be getting a bit more love.

True, but they also shouldn't 'skip steps' to get a lot better next season.

They need to start winning more games and being competitive. Adding a 3 - and - D wing and another playmaker should be super high on the priority list.

Might make it tough to keep any of Johnson, Wesley, Branham and/or Champagnie around depending on who they acquire, unfortunately.

I wonder if the Bulls and the Hawks sit guys tomorrow since they are locked in their spots. That would help the Knicks and Pacers who are trying to lock in a spot.

Not surprising Nets have 9 guys listed out, especially with nothing to play for.

Bucks definitely want to maintain the #2 seed. But, if Dame is out, then not sure Magic will lose again to them

For Philly, I still think they end up #7. Either needs ATL to win with nothing to play for or Bucks to win with Magic wanting to avoid a Play-in

Embiid is out. Should be able to beat the Nets with all their guys out, but not ideal with a loss and Miami win leading to Sixers dropping to 8th.

Not the first time the Grizzlies have had some sort of controversy when it's come to game clock or stat keeping. Wonder if it was on purpose or if they legitimately didn't notice they added an extra minute on the game clock because nobody else seemed to notice.

Wonder how you officially score anything that happened between that added minute vs the original point the clock was at.
