good call on benching the vets they were cooking the Pelicans. They would've had it had Zion not getting hurt. he was hooping.
Denver/Lakers might be the closest 5 game series we've seen in NBA history. (they should've tanked that game)Wolverines Packers Cubs Celtics

Tough to say. I think if they inevitably have to play Denver they need them in the first round rather than a conference finals again. But on the other side of that they match up incredibly well with OKC and likely win that 1v8 matchup, but they don’t have the legs to beat Denver in round 3 if it comes to that. And there was always a shot they lose to SAC/GS and miss the playoffs entirely.
Realistically they don’t have much of a shot against Denver if Murray plays the way he did last year. And Denver gets up for them too for whatever reason. It was a pretty close series last year despite being a sweep. Most games 1 possession and a couple of them featured 1 legged 30 foot heaves as the shot clock expired too. Luck was on Denver’s side as well as just being better… not sure the Lakers are playing quite as well this year as last, and Vando not being part of the equation hurts too.
Bron looks healthier compared to last year, but they need 45 minutes of 100% Bron and it’s just not in the tank anymore.
I am interested to see if “playoff Murray” continues. His last two playoff runs 26/5/7 on 61 TS%, to compare Kobe next to Shaq 00-02 25/6/5 on 53 TS%, Kyrie next to Bron 24/3/5 on 57 TS%, Wade next to Bron 20/5/4 on 54 TS%.. probably some pace/era adjusting there to be slightly more comparable but the point is Murray has been excellent as a number two at the guard spot in post-season play. When he plays like that they are so tough to beat largely because the other guys are fine with playing off looks that the Joker-Murray two-man game creates. Very balanced unit.Comment

It's mostly fun discourse lol. obviously you can't do that. I would also always rather play the team later in the postseason. I get injuries affect you as well but if Den somehow has bad luck to any of their top 5 they are a completely different team. luck has basically played a role in like every postseason. I just don't think they have a chance vs Denver. Murray is always going to have success with their guards and AD can't have an off game in the series. It's tough.
They have a shot if Joker goes down [emoji23]Comment

Warriors are on the ropes!
Could we be seeing the end of their dynasty?

Klay completely scoreless is crazy. Not that anybody played particularly well. They definitely have to do something. The Draymond/Poole situation along with monstars taking Andrew Wiggins talent after the 2022 finals really killed this team. That and none of their decent young pieces ever carving out a big role on the team.
I wonder what this means for Chris Paul?Last edited by ojandpizza; 04-17-2024, 01:31 AM.Comment

After remembering how it felt when the Warriors put us out to pasture (or behind the woodshed), this moment feels bittersweet.
I both loved and hated this amazing Warriors run, I especially hated the times they eliminated the Spurs.
Still, what they accomplished and how they changed the game of basketball forever is their legacy.
